Rants & Ramblings ~My Daily Journal of Changing Life

Well I'm kinda pissed this morning b/c I haven't lost anything. I really feel like I should have. I have worked my ass off lately.

your weight is pretty low, so unfortunately it doesn't get easier... just stay consistant... and applaud yourself for working hard :)

Have you taken measurements recently/ those will often see differences before the scale does..

So here I go....on my final journey to not just lose weight. That is not what this is about people. It's about a life CHANGE. Hince I said life change. It's about taking that "SNAP" I told you about & understanding it was a sign to friggin DO SOMETHING! Do something about my aweful eating habits, lounging and all the stupid things that are in my book known as being LAZY and selfish. It's so stupid too though, because I'm not a "lazy" person...never have been, but my current behavior has led me to just that. Lazy.

In the same boat....trying for a life change. Not to just lose weight. I always say, trying to maintain a "healthy" lifestyle. Not for a short while, but forever. I'm not married yet, but engaged, turning 27 this Saturday. So close to your age, but no kids. I need to do this so that I set a good example and be a good role model, when I do start a family.

Looks like you are on the right track. Don't get frustrated at not seeing results just yet. And rather looking at the scale, pay closer attention to how your clothes are fitting. Your weight at your height and being a mommy of two, I idolize...I fear of gaining tons when I become pregnant.

I FINALLY decided to cut the yard this evening! That dreadful thing!
I love a nice yard, but I sure don't like to do it by myself! DH was asleep and I figured I'd go burn a few more calories and get something done at the same time. He works all the time so I guess I should pitch in a little more.
I mowed, edged, swept and moved a few Black Elephant ears...

Wow, your husband is a lucky guy!

We all understand this all too well. You are doing great! Keep doing what you are doing and the weight will come off.

HI,
Don't be discouraged about a no-loss week. Sometimes our body takes a little while to catch up with all the efforts!! I just went through a three week plateau. I was going to brake my scale!! But now I am back to losing ever so slowly but losing.
Walking is great!! Especially if you can do it in a nice environment and enjoy the surroundings while getting an exercise. What can be better than that?
keep up the good work, you will see results pretty soon!!

So sad.....

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I really appreciate it. {{hugs to all}}

Unfortunately, something VERY BAD happened last night and I had to have a chocolate bar. :( . My 10 year old son broke his wrist and has a contusion in the other. He is in horrible pain. We went to the ER and they put splints on them, but is getting casts today. He was jumping a huge jump at our local track and did a nose dive landing on his hands and face. He has been clearing it beautifully all year, but sadly someone was in the way at the last minute and he lost complete control to avoid hitting them. We are so sad & dissapointed. Most of all, he is so sad because he is off his race bike for a while and might not win the national championship next month. I told him he didn't need the big race to be a champion...he already is.

Please send good vibes and blessings for a speedy recovery. All he wants is to ride.

Poor kid... i dont think anything sucks worse than an injury like that durig the summer... if it was during the school year it's not near as bad...

Hope he recovers quickly - and it's good he wants to ride again... fearless little guy :D

Oh, I am so sorry your son got hurt!! I hope he recovers quickly!! And he still wants to ride ?!
I will be thinking of you!!

Wow, how stressful!! Was it a motorbike or racing bicycle? I am sure not riding in a national championship would hurt worse than the bones being broken for a boy that age. Poor kid.

Was it a motorbike or racing bicycle?

He races BMX - Bicycles. The hills, jumps and everything is just like motocross, just with no motor.

He is doing better today, still in pain though.
We went Wednesday to get the regular cast on. He picked neon green for the color. Yesterday we went to see all his friends race and they had a nice gift bag for him with all kinds of stuff. He liked that.

As far as my diet and stuff, it's shot to hell right now. I am going to try to get myself together to restart tomorrow.

Well, how'd you do today?

I hope your son is doing better. My brother did motocross when we were younger...nearly gave my mom a heart attack every day!
