Random nosebleeds.

Hello everyone.

This is actually not regarding anything to do with any of my routines.
I began the first official day of my new year exercises, with circuits.
About 10 minutes in I get a random nosebleed. -__-'
So I quit for today. I'll just continue on tomorrow.

I just found it very strange for me to get a nosebleed. I never get them. What could this mean?

How bad a nosebleed are we talking about? Anterior or posterior (front of the nose or the back) ? If you found yourself swallowing blood even when standing and tilting your head back it was probably posterior. Posterior nosebleeds are usually bad news, I'd have it looked into. If it was anterior it's probably not a big deal. They can be caused by a lot of things, but it's most likely due to allergies/infection/dryness. Did ya blow your nose really hard recently? Pick it real hard? :D If ya had a good knock on the skull recently, ya might want to see a doctor, heh heh. Anyway, given the other details of your post it's probably infection/dryness as I said above. Try putting some polysporin up there before bed for a week, or more often daily as needed if it keeps up. You can also try some de-congestant spray if it starts bleeding often.

Thank you very much.

It's anterior....it just normal bleeds from the nose. It happened once so far.

If it happens again during the next circuit session, I'm freaking out.

Yah I've also had some 'sudden' nosebleeds. In my case they're mostly caused from my allergies (a lot of sneezing, and blowing); and also dry conditions. It's a real bitch IMHO because I've never had a problem with nose bleeds. I had a really bad one, one day when I walked out of a store and my nose just started bleeding like no other... It turns out blood thiners + nasal sprays + coffee don't mix.

Oh well; though I did find out that you could use a little bit of vasaline to prevent your nose (insides) from drying. That's what I do (as a just in case precaution) when I'm working out. And hell I've not had a nosebleed since.

i used to ge that when i just started out. My lungs would also hurt bad to. But once my body got adjusted (after a week) I was all back to normal.

Just pinch the nose at the bone for a couple of minutes and it will stop bleeding.

what are you gonna squeeze the bone to stop the bleeding.

your not gonna stop a nose bleed by "holding" a bone, its bone for f**** sake.

If you have a short nose bleed just let your head roll forward and bleed out in to a tissue, dont try tilting your head back cos the blood will just run down your gullet.

Speaking of tilting your head, while I was skipping, I did sort of tilt my head back and forth a few times...
