Raina's Back!

YEAH!!!:D I feel like I'm making a dent. I'm feeling better tonight, and in fact, I felt so good, I actually went to my soccer game. I didn't play great, but I managed to play a little, and have fun doing it. On top of that, I lifted weights today and I think I actually pushed myself pretty well. I'm kinda a chicken, so i really tried to go beyond the hurt.
I'm glad I'm back on track, and now... I just have to make it through tomorrow.

Thank goodness Thanksgiving is over! I actually did pretty well too. I kept the portions smaller, but I still enjoyed everything. Family was wonderful, food was great, conversation didn't get ugly. What more could I ask for?

I'm feeling pretty excited about getting back on track. My confidence is already better, and I'm sticking to my plan. I have 2 more days before my first 10 day goal is made, and I get to have my little reward, and start over again!

Now.. I'm just debating whether I should go battle the black friday lines. I love getting out there and finding deals, but the weather here is absolutely horrible! hmmm... i'll have to check those ads again.

What's your first reward? I'm going to order a few scrapbooking supplies online as soon as I hit 170. Could be a couple weeks yet though :rolleyes:
 
Ah... I'm not a great scrapbooker, but I have been on this website that is helpful with idea, and you can order stuff... it's called The Best Scrapbooking Supplies On The Web - Two Peas in a Bucket Check them out.. I love some of their ideas!!!
So, for my first reward... I had my husband write me a little "love" note with things that will encourage me. I'm not good at surprises, or waiting... so this is a big thing for me. I have been passing this note on the refrigerator everday!

Tammy, I'm glad to hear there is another photography junky here!!! I wish I took THAT many pictures! I'm jealous. And, an 8 month old? You must be loving it. Mine is nearly 14 months. He doesn't talk yet, but he is fast and all over the place. Is yours crawling yet?? Is he your first?? I thought crawling was tough because everything was at eye level, and he wanted it to go right into his mouth. YUCK!

Hello again! Today has been pretty good. It has been 10 days... and I have worked really hard. I have a 10 day calendar up with my calorie intake everyday, and it has my workout schedule. I stuck to it, and I guess I thought i'd see bigger results. I think I lost about 1 lb. But...the "think" part is what has me a bit bummed. I'm not giving up... I'm too determined. It just makes me question all my sacrifices and hard work. Maybe this week will show bigger results. I'm in this for the long haul... BUT.. i have a vacation coming up this Saturday. I just thought I'd be down a few more before the big trip. Either way.. I'm making it through all the holiday's and beyond.

Are you with me???
 
Alright... I'm feeling better about my big 1 lb! It comes down to how I feel. I wrote (at the beginning of this whole thing) how I felt at the time... and I feel like a differnt person! I'm so excited for this trip I have coming up on Saturday! It should be fun, and I don't even care if i'm in a bathing suit or not. I'm going for it, I'm going to have fun, and I'm not going to quite eating and exercising when I get back.
Mexico, here I come!
 
Ok... anyone reading this... can you help me. I was looking at some popcorn yesterday, and it said that it only has 20 calories for 1 cup of popped popcorn. This is "light" Orville Redenbacher microwave stuff. So, if I eat an entire bag on a craving... I would only be out like 100 cals.... IS THIS RIGHT????
 
4 days until Mexico! I'm getting excited and nervous. I never feel like I'm ready. I'm feeling good and I'm really pumped about how well my "diet" is going. If I can call it that. It's just a healthy choice.

Oh... here's my food:

Breakfast - Go Lean cereal w/milk = 230

Lunch - Egg salad sandwich = 200

Snack - Kashi nut bar = 130

Dinner - Lasagna w/salad = 600

Snack - popcorn = 100

Total = 1260
 
oh... plus I lifted yesterday. My arms were so tired by the end I had a hard time washing my hair. I guess that's a good thing.
 
I'm stoked! I just got off the bike. A hard 20 minutes. I hope 20 minutes 3x/wk is enough. I don't know how many calories that burns, but I guess it's better than not doing it at all.
 
I actually calculated it this morning... doing 20 minutes on the bike... vigorous riding takes off about 352 calories! WAY TO GO!!!!!! I didn't do as vigorous this morning... 282 for me...but well worth it!

Thanks a million for that. I think that's pretty encouraging! I'm really proud of myself, and those numbers make it all worth it!!!
 
Enjoy mexico.. you're gonna look smashing when you get there (and to be honest, the food in mexico is not like the crap that's served in taco hell's and the like... it's a lot of fresh stuff so you shouldn't have a problem sticking to your plan there :D (just watch the tequilla :D
