Well it was my graduation today the offical cap and gown was so excited/nervous but everythign went well and i didnt fall!

food has been good and i have really been watching what i have been eating exercise has not been as cardio as i wanted but been busy def going for a swim this weekend

I'm pleased that the graduation went well.

Well done for continuing on track. All that we can ever hope for is to be reasonably good with both our food and our exercise.
 
Just to let you know i am going on holiday and wont be back till the 10th Aug

New Start

Tomorrow is my new start 11th August 2008

I have had a few things go though my mind recently and i decided enough is enough stop making excused and just do it
On returning from my hol in Devon (which was fab) i found out that a 15yr old neighbour has died she had a fit over night and was found 'sleeping' by her mum so that was upsetting, then our family cat 14yrs became suddenly ill and had be be put down and also our friends dad was rushed into hospital and needs a triple heart bypass only 56years and this all within 12 hours of being home !

So i have been shopping planned dinners for this week and get my WW info out and ready to go

I will weigh on mondays so i am not tempted to have and easy weekend! so will updat the ticker tomorrow but im sure im about 206lb
I will be writing everything in here that i eat so if anyone who does WW can help/suggest/correct anything i eat i would really appreciate it

It's something how those things really make us think about things isn't it? My journey started early this year when my 52 year old brother in law died. Then yesterday I found out my 32 year old brother had a heart attack(mild(thank God), but a heart attack still). I knew then I'd have to keep it up. I owe to my brother who really can't help what is a largely inherited medical disorder(s) to keep myself in good health since I'm not dealing with even a smidgen of what he is.

I wish you many good wishes on this journey.

I'm so sorry to hear about all that has happened, it must have been such a shock just after you go back.
Well done though for making the desicion for a fresh start, the though of going on a diet is usually worse than the actual diet itself. Thank you for the comments you left in my diary - it feels good to be able to shop anywhere, im still a size 18 on my bottom half so once im a 16 I will be made up.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a heap of sadness and problems on your return.

As far as WW is concerned - the good thing is that you are getting as many points as you are. I think that they say not to go under 14 (I am unsure because I have never had as little as that). If you are doing points - they let you carry forward up to 4 of the food points plus any activity points that you earn until later that same week. At the end of the week you start again (cannot carry forward beyond the end of the WW week).

Thanks thats good to know so when i have a treat i can save up some points!
i have to say im really enjoying it and having the freedom to eat what i want and know if i want that bar of choc i can have it just add the points in!

Dinner was a disaster so had S&S chicken ooops so i think i have had the points for today and also the 'carry over' points of the last 3 days
 
Been away and was decorating so not been able to get on the computer for ages its been in peices all over the house keeping safe!

So i have the WW shopping book so i know points in EVERYTHING now so im back at it properly this week
Im doiung it all alone at home but finding it much easier to fit in with my life style than SW (which worked when i lived at home) so heres hoping it works well for me i forgot to weigh this week (bank hol was away) so will be 2 weeks worth on the 1st but i dont think i have reached the target i wanted but will just mean setting a new one and getting on with it NO thinking about failing this time just a bad choice and to move on no dwelling

Hello,

The WW shopping book sounds like a good idea you can keep better track that way. SW does not suit everyone i know so im really glad WW is working out better for you. Don't worry about not quite meeting your september 1st goal - you have the right attitude about just moving on and focusing on the future! good luck for you weigh in all the same =D
 
204lb Monday 01 sept

So another lb down slowly but surely is the way to go now i think
WW is healthy eating really so im glad im doing this and not missing out on any major food groups at any meal

Congratulations I'm so happy for you! It didn't take that long afterall then =D
