Rah's Diary started May 07

Hiya

Well weigh in was good i put on the 2lb that i thought so im really happy with that considering what i ate and drank over the last 2 weeks!!!

So im ready for the new year the new me and the fact that i could get pregnant this year!!! im really scared but really excited at the same time just got to wait till august before we start trying! We have not told any family or friends and i dont want to either if everyone knows they will be waiting and asking all the time and i really dont want to tell them till im 12 weeks dont worry i will be keep everyone informed on here i have to or i think i would burst LOL
My sister was asking if we wanted to go ski-ing this time next year and said we should book now we did manage to put her off the idea for a while by saying we should get some indoor practice first see if we like it and get a last min deal nearer the time
Anyway lots to do and think about before i get there!

I have just watched a program on TV called half tonn mom basically a mum who was over weight, had an accident and became super morbidly obese weighing in at 840lb + she went for a gastric bypass but sadly passed away 4 weeks later aged just 30 years
It has really made me more determined to loose weight i know i am a long way off 850lb but I now realise i dont want to go over 200lb again

So i am starting a fresh at 199.5lb and aiming to be 14lb lighter on 13th Feb (my official weigh day is wednesday)
 

hey congratulations on only putting on 2lb- that is nothing seeing as how badly scales fluctuate as well!

i graduate this year as well!!! gonna look great at that balll!!! keep it up!

i've only lost 2lb according to the scale since i've started but lost inches of my waist! i don't trust the scale- i think what i'm trying to say is don't worry about the 14lb too much if it is up or down by a couple of pounds!!

and your under two hundred... congrats hun!
and that story sounds scary .. I definitely will be working on the weight ..don't want to end up like that ...

Hi Sarah,

Well done on only gaining 2lb over Christmas and New Year - you will have that off in no time.
I also watched the programe half ton mum last night. I was shocked and felt so bad for her and her family.
Congratulations on deciding to try for a baby! this is also some great motivation for you to continue loosing weight and improve your health X

I am going to start a food diary for 2 reasons a) to keep a check on what i have and b) if anyone can suggest improvements ie swap x for y that would be good may not take it all on board but very welcome

Here go's
Food
2 weekabix 1/4 pint semi-skimmed milk
Banana
2 slices wholemeal 400g bread with turkey
Fruit salad (orange, apple, pinapple, grapes)
2 satsumas
Steak, peas, carrots brocolli, i was going to have Jacket potato but it was bad inside YUK!
28g cheese

Water
Diet Coke
Orange Juice (sugar free)
hmmm doesnt seem much but i felt really full all day

Exercise
I have just given blood so unable to go the gym today but i have just walked for 45mins at good pace heart rate was def up!

Hey Sarah, sounds like you have an exciting year planned. Maybe add some more protein? You're lucky you dont feel hungry off that! I envy you.

Thanks for that i think this a just a low protein day but will look at the diary over the week and see what i have then try to add more if its low

Hi Sarah

I hope that you are feeling a bit better.

Two pounds is a really low weight gain for over Christmas and New Year - you should be quite proud of it really as most people put on a lot more than that. Angel and I weigh every day and post a rolling 2 week of weights on the weigh every day club. Just about everyone wiggles up and down all the time and you see that a two pound gain can happen while you are being good.

I hope that your plans to start a family soon go well for you. One thing is certain - things can certainly be improved by losing weight and making sure that your diet and lifestyle is as healthy as possible. As such you are already working towards this special goal.

I recorded that "Half Ton Mum" program but havent watched it yet. It followed "How to look good naked" which was good - did you see it? That man is talented at making sometimes very overweight women feel good about themselves and look really stunning.

I love it, just love it if i ever win the lottery i swear i am going to hire him as my positive thinking guru who will take me shopping all the time and plant positive thoughts into my head LOL

wholemeal barm cake with tuna and cucumber

Pasta, chicken, ham

Water, diet coke, sugar free orange

Exercise
going gym at 7:30pm so will update later
EDIT: 90 Mins total
30mins Bike
30mins treadmill very fast walk with a few mins of running thrown in
20mins X trainer (nearly died)
10mins free weights

HI

I feel loads better now no signs of me being unwell

Today was a tough day in work there was loads of chocolate and biscuits there today someone brought in sausage roll and cakes as well!!!
I said a BIG NO to them all apologised for not wanting the cake and sausage roll but explained that my weight loss is very important to me and they were reall supportive and moved everything out of my sight (and smell) range which made it easier

Im going the gym tonight... Friday night...but i am going so will update my exercise log later on or in the morning if i am too tired LOL

Feel really positive today you know when you get dressed and think yeah i look good today doesnt happen often but i do look good in my top and jeans that i have only been fitting into the last 2 weeks or so LOL
Im still made up with the 2lb gain over xmas cant believe it!!!

Anyway i think i am going to do a bit of housework (joy) and then hit the gym hope its not too busy i dont want everyone to see me glowing red LOL

My hubby saw a program about him - and my hubby tells me that he used to be overweight himself (hubby thinks maybe 23stone +). That man is just so talented. I believe that every woman in the world who doesnt love every aspect of her body just as it is would benefit from watching his programs.

I am pleased you are a lot better. It is also great that you were good at work when faced with temptation, that you are going to the gym and that the jeans still fit and that you look good in them. :hurray:

Just think - the housework will burn calories too (unfortunately it doesnt make the task more appealing though!

i think that is the most amazing feeling...when you fit into a smaller size!!

LOL we will have to share him between us if we both win
I heard that he used to be realy overweight as well i think it was when he was around 19 but WOW he knows his stuff!!!
 
Thats a deal - we will share him and be the envy of all our friends.

One thing is for sure - if he was dressing me I would have more photos taken.

Didnt clean the house i think i will be doing that tomorrow

25mins X trainer (legs went wobbly)
30mins Bike
35mins treadmill
45mins Dog Walk/jog
No arm weights today they are quite sore from yesterday LOL

Today was really hard to avoid BAD food just really bad i hate visiting my nieces when they have just baked cakes i feel so mean not taking one ... I did then i pretended to eat it (like you do with plastic/imaginary food) then stuffed it in my bag i felt sooooooooo mean but i am doing this LOL
Also each time I leave the gym i have to drive past McD's or Subway or if i go the other way past Pizza Hut and KFC!!!!
The McD'd is the hardest as its on the same bit of road like nextdoor neighbours its all you can smell when you come out and see those people eating it!!! but i have to say only 1ce in the 4 years i have been a member i went to McD's i just think of good nice food at home and drive really fast past them LOL
