Rachie's Diary

You're running a marathon? That's so cool. I had a good run today, just enjoyed myself.

Maybe a half marathon :) One step at a time here :) I am so happy for you with the running - you are making so much progress!

:D

Ohhhh yeah you can!! You guys gave me the idea when you called the scales liar etc... :)

Oh yes - it would SO have to be a half marathon for me! I simply couldn't imagine going 26 miles - Mal's 60 mile walk scares me to death!!

i look forward to the day when i have some super high distance to brag about!

you ladies are awesome!!!

me and my 3 miles are envious!

:)

3 Miles is nothing to sniff at! Keep it up girl!! You are doing great!!

I am feeling quite nervous about the run tomorrow!! I know I am not where I wanted to be in my running but will be happy if I can get through it in under an hour :) I am loading up on calories as I want to be sure I have enough energy for the race!! Not going over my daily need but am definitely much higher than my 1500 average. I'm not counting!!!

I am itching to get out of work and pick up my race packet but have all afternoon to go yet!!!

walking 60 miles is way easier than raising 2200 dollars - right now it's no contest :)

you are a runing machine, rach - hey maybe we could all do a marathon as a team - youo do 10 miles, and we oculd split it up :)

Yay! Team marathon!! With all the members on WLF we could probably do very little each to make up the 26.2!!!

I think you'll be surprised how many people will give as time goes on Mal. Walking 60 miles is something to be proud of, plus collecting all that money for charity. I think a lot of folks will be willing to part with money - be patient :)

Wow--I'm be really nervous and excited!

But don't be nervous! HA HA! So happy for you--can't wait to hear how it went!

Thanks! I can't wait to come back and tell you all. I'll be happy if I finish but I am very competitive with myself so would really like to kick my own butt!! :D

10k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D WOOOOOO I just got back from the race and I finished in 54 minutes and 22 seconds! My 5k split was 27 mins and 45 seconds. Both those times are my personal bests for a 5k or a 10k!! I am really happy :D

Thank you very much Lena and Sunnydee! I am pretty happy with it. I forgot to start my stopwatch at the start of the race so I didn't know exactly what time I finished. When I looked it up online I was really shocked! Now I can sit down tomorrow and plan my training for the next few months for the half marathon :) All I need to make my weekend is for the scales to be down when I weigh in for the first day of April! I don't care too much today though ;)

Oh Rachie!!

That is FANTASTIC :)
Congratulations on scoring a personal best time!!

And for competing and for finishing!
:D

Congrats!!!!

Sorry I am DRUNK right now--but I just logged on to the internet, and I'm so glad to hear your time--have a great night/morning, whatever!!!:D

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Thank you everyone! I am really pleased! It's definitely given me a bit of a boost! I just sat down and looked up races in my area for the next 7 months! I have jotted down dates and goals and I think this is going to help me physically and mentally and hopefully weight/body-wise too! I have 5 races ranging from 5k to the half-marathon. I am a bit sore today but not too bad :) I'm hoping to feel better tomorrow so I can have a slow and easy jog before work. I want to appreciate my running and the world around me instead of racing :D I am looking forward to keeping a training log and challenging myself to new things and better race times.

The last few days have been carb-load and eat to the max so I didn't lose any weight for my first of the month weigh-in. However, I am happy that I haven't increased! I'm just going to settle back in to my eating right and in a deficit. I'm also looking forward to getting back to the weights!

Thank you all again for your support - it's awesome to have you all cheering me on! Especially drunk folk Curvie ;) Hope you all had fantastic weekends. Will talk more tomorrow!!!!
