Rachie's Diary

Thanks guys :)

Okay so I didn't get to exercise again last night because I was at work till 8:30 and was REALLY hungry!! haha. I ate pretty well though, some wasa crispbreads, some high fiber wholewheat bread, turkey, fat-free cottage cheese, some cheese and some salad. Kind of a pick'n'mix dinner but it was pretty healthy and yummy stuff. Yesterday was a light day food-wise - at the lower end of the scale, about 1200 calories. Today will likely be more like 1500 I'm guessing by the hungry feelings I am starting to get :D

I did hit the gym this morning though and pushed hard on the elliptical for 20 mins then a fast mile on the treadmill and walk to cool down. I think I got about 330 cals. Not bad. I'm probably going to have some more carbs today as yesterday was kind of light and, I am pretty hungry now after my workout! I forgot my kashi bar today so might have an early light lunch and some fruit and yoghurt for an afternoon snack. Yum :D

Weighed in at 132lbs today, keep willing the scale down to get towards the 120's and closer to my goal. I'm still going to reassess my goals when I (yes when I, not if I!) reach 126lbs.

mmmm wasa crispbreads -those are my go - to dinner when i don't feel like cooking - with goat cheese and a sliced apple or tomato :) yummy goodness

Aren't they good? Mmmmm! I love goat cheese - haven't had any in a LONG time! One of my favorite high-school trips was to France; we went to lots of cool places but the goat cheese farm was a highlight. Nobody else wanted to try it as they had just toured and seen the stinky goats, who were darned cute. I ate most of the cheese and brought back loads, much to the horror of my classmates who had to put up with the garlic herb smell for several hours. Cheese and apple is like ambrosia!

Mmm... I also love goat cheese. It's spectacular. I'm not sure if I've ever heard of these wasa crispbreads. Do we have those in Canada? Maybe the equivalent is here under a different name, or maybe they're right under my nose and I'm just oblivious to them.

Howdy Rachie
Congrats on the scale heading in the right direction!
Even if it's slow I would take that anyday.Your doing great
have a nice day Tammy

They are yummy (wasa). Apparently Barilla make them. No idea if they are known as anything else in Canada but I found them in the cracker isle :) mmmm goat cheese :D

Thanks Tammy :) Hope you are having a nice day too :D

So calories were at the lower end of the spectrum again yesterday  I think I have been eating at strange times... brought my Kashi bar for breakfast today so that should help straighten me out a bit :D

Calories yesterday ~1300 weighed in at 132lbs again today

I'm aiming higher today - need to average at about 1500 really...
Hit the gym this morning although it was short... elliptical ~30 mins (220cals) and bike 5 mins (24cals) - 243 cals. Again, last night I got home very late and so didn't get to do my extra workout but given that this morning was light and I didn't run I am REALLY GOING TO TRY AND RUN TONIGHT!! I should be running more in training for this race, only 2.5 weeks left!

Okay so I just ate lunch and it was moderately naughty but delicious beyond belief... A jerk chicken pita with extra hot sauce... mmmmmmmmm.... so good :D
So I have looked up the components and jerk chicken is about 220 cals with obviously lots of protein and the pita bread is ooh actually not bad ~150, well, not too bad at all then! Oh now I feel happier - it's not terrible and I am very satisfied with my luscious lunch :D and all for about 400 cals!

no joke i know steve murphy :p
rachie baby 400 calories is hardly anything haha i have that for breakfast sometimes

Yes, I can't wait until I'm at my goal weight, so I can eat "maintenance caloric intake"--for a 25 year old women (I'll be by then) at 5'7" and 130 lbs, that's about 2100-2300 calories, for my activity level. AHHHH!

At 2300, that's 5 meals at 460 calories
Or 4 meals at 575!

Bon Appitit! I'm DROOLING thinking about it....

Thanks Sophie :) i know I was shocked. I think there are some added calories because although it was grilled, I know some oil was on there so I'm guessing it was more like 500 but still, so much better than what I originally thought!!! I know you like your breakfast hon, :D You know Steve Murphy too?! :p
