Rachie's Diary

Thanks photocrazed. I was with you on the lower fat and increase protein. I think I am going to go back and read the entire article. I have a bad habit of skimming things. I'll post the link if anyone is interested :) Good job on your weight loss by the way photocrazed - 1.2lbs is great. Keep up the hard work and March will be even better! There's till almost a week left of February too!

I'll be so excited if I can ever get to where you are now. 135.5

I took some photos this morning, but am not sure about sharing them... I look like a beached whale.

photocrazed - I bet you look lovely. The picture you had up of you before showed you are really cute and you have a great personality. I think it is a big step to show pictures though and as I haven't I am not going to tell you to do it. But you took them, so you obviously thought it might be a good motivational tool. If you don't want to take that step yet, just keep them and post some when you feel more confident about where you are now. You are already on 8.5lbs! That's a lot of hard work. You should be very proud of yourself.

Hey Rachie :) I just wanted to stop by and say hi. I think you're doing great. I think it's awesome that you are so focused and concentrating on having the right intake for yourself. Keep it up, you are a motivation! :)

Thanks for stopping by Britta Bear! I'm going to return the favor and see how you are doing :D

Look, you're almost halfway to your goal 1 more pound.

Hey stuco! You are right. I hadn't even noticed that! My weight loss started 2 years ago and I dropped a good 16lbs in a year, then I gained a bunch back and since then it's moved around a lot. Hopefully I'll be at the halfway mark for my Monday weigh in - that would be awesome :D Thanks for pointing that out! :D

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFriday

Friday - at last!!! :D

Went out to eat last night and had Pad Thai. Sooooo good! Also had a couple of of glasses of wine. This week night wine is bad for me! But very nice ;)

Haven't decided whether I am going to have a day off today... it's beautiful outside and perfect running weather. Not too warm but not too cold and sunny! Maybe after work?

This weekend is back to the long running though. I want to do a 10k this weekend and start running outside during the week too. I need to start doing more than 10k so when my race comes I have plenty of endurance :D I feel like 10k is already a heck of a lot of distance though so it's hard to make myself do more than that!!!

More later, still need to update yesterday's totals eek!
Rachie

OKay so yesterday's totals were:

Calories in: 1515
Calories out: 2842
Difference: 1327

Weight this morning was: 135lbs

Well I have to get the running in (training for a 10k) but have been a bit slack of late and have only done it at the gym :)

The calories in and out are from fitday.com My calories in is the total from my meals I have entered and the out are calculated from my weight and lifestyle calories plus my workout calories. They figure the lifestyle calories and I enter the workout stuff but fitday calculates. :)

I know you can do it Rachie! Reaching the mini-goals is so satisfying! I usually buy something new when I reach one :D
Good luck!

Thank you for the encouragement folks :D

Today:

Brunch: 3 pieces of toast, 2 poached eggs, cup of tea :D ~365

Snacks: 2 kashi bars (they are moreish, I had to have the second!) ~280 cals :(

Dinner: steak, roast potatoes, veggies, glass of wine ~1080

Calories in: 1725
Calories out: 2610
Difference: 885

The Practice 10k

 I really think I messed up somewhere... just did my practice 6.2 miles while actually came out to about 6.6 miles. I did it in just under 53 minutes!!! Whew! I really can't quite believe it. I think I must have stopped my stopwatch. I did stop it at one point when I ran up these really steep steps to inflict pain upon myself (can't think of any other reason why I chose to do that insane move). I felt a bit dizzy at the top due to a bit of a worry about heights and also that I probably should have started my run with that instead of doing it after 5.5 miles when my legs were rather wobbly! Anyway, if I didn't mess up, that means I should be able to do the 10k in like 50 minutes! That would be awesome!!! I have to keep running and be sure not to mess up my stopwatch! I didn't look properly at the clock but I was definitely back in an hour so even if I did mess up and it was an hour, that's still good cause it means I am capable of breaking an hour!!! yayayayay! :D

Thanks photocrazed :D I see you are doing pretty awesome yourself! Kicking some butt on the squats and the scales behaving themselves very well! Keep up the hard work and you'll be there sooner than you think
