Question

I've been lifting the last few weeks. I'm still new so I was wondering if I could get some help on if what I'm doing is good or not.

I lift one to two times a day. My lift involves bicep curls, tricep extensions, military press, bench press, and I don't know what the actual name of the lift is but it's the one that is like pulling the cord to start a lawn mower. Sorry about not knowing what it's called. Anyway after that I do 50 crunches, 25 leg lifts, and 50 oblique crunches. I do this cycle three times each work out then end the work out with 110 sit ups and 100 push ups. Then I drink a protein shake. For the reps of each lift I just continue going until I cannot complete another rep. For weight I use two 40 lbs dumbells.
I also run about 5k once a week.

Is this a good work out routine or not.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Bad.
Pretty much no lower body work (squats, deads, lunges)
There aren't really any opposing horizontal and vertical pulls to match the military and bench.
Too much isolation (curls, and extensions).
No need to lift mor than once a day

I'd just do a FBW 3x a week or an upper lower split 4x a week
FBW could be you switch off between
Squats
Bench
Bent Over Row

Deads
Military
Pullups

Lunges
Dips
Chinups

i agree i didnt see anylower body and not enough compounds, do u have access to a gym? or is that all you have? put some squats and lunges ohh and deadlifts, bent over rows or something compound for your back try cuttin some of those situps out and add some plancks or something that is more compound core, most people do situps for that matter crunches the wrong way and will end up with problems when their older do planks more bang for the buck haha, hows your diet???

i just realized i dont think ive ever seen someone post a routine they do that needs more upper body than lower lol haha

agree with the above posters though, you should make your lower body a bigger priority imo but thats just me.

Thanks that helps alot. I'll add lower body lifts and some planks to my work out, and the two 40 lbs dumbells are the only access I have to work out equipment. I want to get a weight set with the bench and all that but right now I don't have the room.
Mdawson2 - My diet is ok I guess. I eat only healthy foods and no sweets/pop.
