Today I found a piece of equipment at the gym, I didn't know was there. I think its called a Roman chair for working abs. Anyhow, how many reps/sets/should I bring my legs up and down, fast or slow?
the roman chair is a good workout; it was one of bruce lee's favorite! anyway, it depends on whether you're bulking or cutting. if bulking, the sad news is that you can't bulk the rest of your body and trim your waist down-not without supreme genetics and/or injectibles. if bulking, i would do 3 sets of 15 reps, and feel free to start smaller than that if you're new to it. when you get to cutting, if you're not there already, increase to 25 reps, with 3 or 2 sets, if you want. of course, just listen to your body and do what it can, provided you've got good form.
