Question on increasing weight....

In Oct. when I started lifting I was squatting 160lbs. I've been gaining on that and tonight I'm adding 10 lbs going from 230-240. I've been doing 3 sets of 8. This may be part question and part bragging. :D But, what is a good amount of weight to increase? Figuring it up, its not but just less than 5 lbs per week. Now that doesn't sound as impressive to me. Oh well, the question still stands. :)

Well, back in middle January, I was squating 95 for reps o_O. Now I'm squatting 185 for reps. :) Thanks to powerlifting, of course =]

It's however you feel. If you feel that the amount you're doing is too easy, maybe try out 10 more, if not and you just think you an do more, 5 up. You can always do more next time...you'd rather do a little bit less than too much. Don't know if that really answered your question.

ugh..I haven't weight lifted in 2 weeks because I pulled my back. I think I should be ready tommorow. I gotta how my squat is looking.

Agreed. You've made a huge improvement in just a couple months time. Keep up the great work, and don't think about the big picture too much, just continue to make gains at a steady pace.
