question about shoulders

is it possible to get well defined shoulders .. with just doing compound movements or will i eventually have to go isolation on them
 
Eventually you will have to do isolation too, but compound movements give you the most bang for your buck. They will give you the most strength and size. Don't forget though, military press is a compound exercise
 
which is basically the only shoulder thing i do .. is standing military press but taking evo's advice i kinda push press it a bit

i had to lower the weight on my shoulder pressing cuz i started throwing my lower back into it trying to get the weight up
 
You know what? I started seeing a lot of definition in my shoulders after I added front raises into my workout. It builds the trapezius, aka the neck meat, but it also builds the shoulders. Just a thought.
