I've been on here in many guises over the last few years, but I've always loved reading your posts. Let me know how Slimming World goes for you, I hope it will be a success!

Oh my gorgeous people, how lovely to get on here and read all your lovely comments. I was HONESTLY about to put a pizza in the oven and I thought I'd check here quickly before I got it out the freezer. I have now thrown that horrible pizza in the bin and made a home-made, syn free pasta sauce, put some vegetarian sausages in the oven and put some whole wheat pasta onto boil. I'm going to make a bit batch of healthy pasta instead! So thanks, my lovely, lovely friends :grouphug:

I went to get weighed last night and I put on 0.5lbs this week. I know that's not a lot. But apart from the pizza/wine on Monday I was PERFECT last week so am dissapointed. However, it was only over 5 days as I weighed early so I have a full week of ass-kicking to get my half stone award at Slimming World next week.

I want to lose at least 3lbs next week. I am going away this weekend to Southampton for a friends b-day party. Staying in a hotel and everything! Very swanky ;) I am going to drink single gin and tonics and make awesome choices at the restaurant. I will be fine!

In other news, I went out for my cheat meal last night. I couldn't even eat half, I was defeated by pasta!

Much better choice! Both healthier and probably tastier than the frozen pizza! Just takes a little more effort but I'm sure it's worth it!
 
Great job on the healthier pasta instead of the pizza! Going away for the weekend sounds like so much fun. I'm jealous..haha! Have fun! :)
 
I'm drooling over your treat meal! That pasta looks fantastic. We haven't eaten in a restaurant in so long that I don't even know what I would order for a cheat meal. Probably a greasy burger. Mmmmmm.

Hi guys! Sorry for not posting for a few days--been away for a friends 24th Birthday in the town next to mine. Very nice hotel!

Had a brilliant time but ate and drank like CRAP. On a training day today (Sexual Abuse, joy!) so taking a healthy lunch & my food shop is arriving when I get home so no excuses today.

Good for you! Life is about enjoyment too, love the picture looks like the two of you are having fun! I need to be more disciplined about packing healthy lunches!

Today has been okay--had a long ass training day which was quite depressing but home now with my low-alcohol wine and dinner in the oven.

Lunch: snack'a'jacks
Dinner: low-syn pasta bake
Snack: ryvita crackers with light philidelphia, 2 x glasses of low-alcohol wine.

How's the low-alcohol wine going? I love wine as well, but I definitely think I was falling into a slump with it and feeling wrecked all the time. You look lovely in your pic, by the way.

Not feeling positive about weigh in. Think my weekend away with the girls will have hindered me. The scales are not looking good..

Lunch and dinner are both rice, light soy-sauce, quorn chicken style pieces with a ton of veg. Taking dinner to work so I don't eat all the yummy things that the cook makes at work! And then just fruit for snacks.

Sigh--wish I'd worked a bit harder this week and been better over the weekend.
 
I really like the hair Sunflower. I'm not allowed to express myself at my job. I can't grow my beard out, wear earrings, or dress the way I want. I didn't realize how important that was to me until I lost it. Not being able to speak my mind and being surrounded by bigots of every ilk is far worse than the clothes/style bit. I miss Seattle a lot when I think about these things. Stupid bumpkins! :nopity:

Ok, this is the silly American in me coming out, but uuuuuh....

What the HELL are "snack-a-jacks" and "ryvita crackers?" Are those like Cracker Jacks?

Oh, and you also seem to be doing really good. It's been a while, but it's nice to see you're on track. Keep up the good work!

Snack-a-jacks are giant rice cakes that are flavoured. So, either cheese, salt and vinegar or caramel, etc. Like 40cals for a rice cake which is pretty good. Ryvitas are crispbreads that you put toppings on. They are usually plain but you can get them with pumpkin seeds or just plain ol' rye flavour.

Q, that must suck. I worked at a school before the Children's Home and wasn't allowed anything fun at all. It's been an experience getting to express myself. Everyone looks so dull and unhappy in the Winter around here and I've had lovely comments from strangers about how I've cheered them up, etc, which is lovely. Have a secret tattoo so no one knows? ;)


So, I was right about weigh-in. Put on a big fat pound. Only on week 3 & I'm now only at 3.5lbs lost. Sigh. And then I got home from weigh-in and my pet rat Edison was acting weird so I took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with a pituitary tumour and he was put to sleep last night. I then drank a lot of wine. And ate a pizza. Guess I'll be kicking butt the rest of the week to compensate.

Aw, I'm so sorry about your ratty. My sister has always had rats, they're so sweet! It's never nice having to put pets down.

Man I miss ryvita crackers, I used to LOVE them! I hate gluten free substitutes for bread and crackers (unless I make them myself). Oh well.

Hey, 3.5lbs in 3 weeks is still good! Weight loss is never straight forward. Just keep trucking!
