Put that down, fatty! (For the last time!!)

Hiiii guys--Thanks for checking up on me. Sorry I've been AWOL--Have been working insane amounts and not had much time to get on my computer. Went to see Interstellar with some friends last night (AWFUL FILM!) and some drinks before--May have had a cocktail and 2 glasses of wine and THEN a large popcorn TO MYSELF. Oh the shame.

Still hanging around the 214 mark. Want to see 212 but the end of next week so need to start being better. Have just done healthy food shop and off to work for the eve soon so will be able to have a good day today food-wise. Left Yank in bed this morning as meeting a friend now for coffee :) Will check everyones diaries soon <3 xo

Lunch: reduced fat pesto on cup of pasta (270) bacon with fat trimmed off (120) black olives and mushrooms (65) cheese (120)
Dinner: brown rice (450) lots and lots of veggies (100)

Pets are good for the soul! My anxiety has been fab since getting the boys. Cat cuddles solve everything.

At work at the moment but kids in bed so alllll alone with a fridge full of food calling me! However, have been very good so far, despite getting up at 5:30 (AND ON A SUNDAY!!) and will be having a late night tonight because my little sister is staying with me again. She has a job interview in Portsmouth--would be great if she got it and moved down here. I don't see her as much as I want to.

Have my food planned out for the day!

Breakfast: low-fat cherry yog with chopped banana (170) 1 slice brown toast with marmite (120)
Lunch: Ryvitas with hummous and cucumber and chopped veg (200)
Dinner: Slimming World chicken fried rice (500) satsuma (30)
Snacks: Wine (435)

Total: 1455

Love being at work on a Sunday--All the kids sleep late and then we watch movies and hang out all afternoon <3

The two little dogs of mine are the same way. One is an ugly little mutt that stinks straight from the bath and is dumb as a a bag of hammers, but she is the sweetest creature made and no matter how cruddy I feel her stinky face makes me feel better. The other is less affectionate, but she will sit and stare at you (like she's doing now) forever. When she decides she wants to be pet she puts her paw on you lap. Very cat-like actually.

mmm your food looks yummy sunflower, and it sounds like a fun work shift.

I'd love to get a cat, I haven't had one for years, unfortunately hubby is allergic, so it probably isn't going to happen :(

Love the picture of you and the cat :) gorgeous!
Food sounds really yummy and healthy!
Are you a carer, Sunflower? My mum used to do a lot of work with carers, and now manages the carers for the deaf/blind. Amazing work they do, truly awesome.

We have two cats here - one likes attention on his terms, the otherone is a chatter box! He'll come up and chat about his day, loves a cuddle, sits on the forklift with you, and is a real dude. He's about twice the size of your cat - I don't know what they feed them, but they're massive!

Hi Bean xo

I work at a home for children in care :) They all have behavioural problems so we mostly get assaulted for a living (I had my foot broken in May by one of the little darlings!) but it is also one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. I wasn't even aware that Children's Homes still existed before I started working here so it's been a real eye-opener. I work at the Hospital part-time as well as a Health Care Support Worker so get to do all my personal care there for poorly people which is something I enjoy as well--Although I hate the hospital environment so going to see if I can pick up extra hours at the Children's Home instead. I'm already full-time there so working 60 hours a week between there and the Hospital is taking it's toll a little bit--tired all the time!! Sounds like your mum does great work <3

Q, you're pets sound adorable despite the levels of stinky. Why is it that dogs get so stinky? Funny little creatures.

Sorry you can't get a cat, anna :( You have a baby though and I am SOOO BROODY so have to have many, many pets in order to stifle urges to have a million children :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Day off today so PJ's, cups of tea and crappy TV today. Yawn xo

Thanks for the pic, that made me smile!

We have a pair, too. Finnegan is a big'un, about 19 pounds (not fat), very smart and insanely tolerant of children. Felicity is my girlfriend, very lovey-dovey as long as you don't pick her up, and as Q put it, dumb as a bag of hammers.

Have a good week!

Hope you had a good visit with the sister!! Did Sunday's food go as planned? Looks well thought out and satisfying! I need to Google a few things, though (satsuma is first on the list).

Just Googled it. Not nearly as exotic as I was expecting, haha. Unless of course we are using Wikipedia's second definition, which is 'a genus of land snails.' :D

Haha, sorry Risty. I love my title so much but have had SOOO many visits back to WLF that I start a new one each time! Sorry lovely ;) Although I have now read a load of my old diary and I WAS SO THIN. *cry*

Oaks, satsumas are amazing! Totally exotic ;) And delicious!

Food was fabulous this weekend although the scales are still stuck on 214 this morning. *inner rage!!*

Yesterday I made all Slimming World stuff. Made syn free burgers last night from scratch which I'd never done before. Will never buy normal burgers again! Had them with bacon and low-fat cheese slices and lettuce and sweet potato fries that I made as well! Domestic goddess or what?!

Today I'm working a late so food is always great on these days. I also quit the hospital job yesterday.. I was dreading going in this week and my anxiety was going through the roof. Life is too short to work jobs you don't like so I've been applying for extra shifts at a residential home for adults with learning difficulties that is near the children's home so hoping I'll get some extra hours there. Until then, I will enjoy my lovely 40 hour week and relaaaaax on my days off for a change! Maybe I'll even get some exercise in!

I think it's great you made the decision to quit a job you really dislike. There's nothing good about sticking around if you really don't have to, you know? Less anxiety for you can only be a good thing.

Thanks Cory--that was my feeling. Life too short to work someplace that doesn't make you happy :)

Food was fab yesterday. Came in just under 1300 calories for the day. I had slimming world fried rice for lunch and brown pasta with courgette, olives, matos and peas for dinner with a little cheese. Small glass of wine before bed.

Today I'm on an early which means I have breakfast (i get up at 530 for these shifts) so need to watch my cals. Gonna try and make slimming world southern baked chicken with home made wedges and peas tonight. Tasty and syn free! You make the chicken crispy with cornflakes!! .

Mmmmmm, I like cornflakes on almost anything. Another treat is pretzel-crusted chicken, you use mustard to bind the crushed pretzels to the chicken.
