Hi lovely people--I've been so, stupidly busy. I'm sorry I've not been posting. I have had time some evenings but just haven't felt like getting on the computer. MUST IMPROVEEEE.
So, I've been a busy bee. I worked 20 hours at my second job last week so have earned a nice bit of extra cash for Amsterdam. We leave in 2 weeks and I'd like to drop another 5lbs in that time, hopefully. I'm at 212lb right now so another lb down from my last post. That's been the same on the scales for the last few days. I'm weighing in at a friend's house as we are both now doing the swimming together

We went yesterday and are going again today and then again tomorrow. It's lovely as she drives so I'm not being a bus wanker anymore ^_^
So I'm 10lbs down from the start of my "new" journey. It's going slowly but I'm happy. I feel more toned and just generally healthier from all the swimming and not drinking. I can have a drink tomorrow night if I want--I do have an evening out with a friend planned to "celebrate" but honestly, I'm not really feeling it. I thought I'd be desperate for a drink but the longer I've gone without, the weirder it feels to think that I was drinking every night. *shrug* I'm hoping for some new habits to have formed as a result of my month off. I'm really proud of myself for doing it.
So, I have a big healthy food shop coming soon. I'm setting a budget for food this month as we spend far too much on buying new stuff when we have food in the fridge--I don't know what's reasonable for 2 adults? We eat a lot of fresh fruit and veg and don't like cheap meat but don't eat that much meat in general. What do you guys think?
I'm off swimming soon--Weighing in tomorrow for a midweek check and then properly on Monday before work with my friend. She lost 6lbs this week so I have a lot of competition! I'm feeling far more confident, fitting better in my clothes already and loving the swimming. I have webbed gloves to swim with for resistance training as well! I look ridiculous.
Anyway, catch up again soon! Will post again tomorrow as I have two glorious days off now.
