Congratulations!! Exciting times!

Thanks lovely people :)

Have dusted off the ol' fitbit today. Want to be as active as I can so that pregnancy isn't too brutal for me. 6 months in now and back pain is starting to sneak in but I'm not doing any exercise so I'm not helping myself. I've had chocolate for breakfast this morning - not an ideal start. Off to a gig in London tonight (anyone heard of Ben Howard?) and then my sister has a full day planned in St James park feeding the birds and a vegan place booked for lunch. Meeting a few friends. Should be very busy and will be interesting to see how I feel after a month of doing very little! I say very little; I'm working 50 hour weeks at the moment and am still volunteering at the Soup kitchen on a Thursday so keeping relatively busy still! Just miss swimming and walking..getting a car last year hasn't helped.

Not weighing myself as am embracing my chunky body. I love how pregnancy looks - I feel so feminine and soft but super strong. It's a lovely feeling, especially when my little one wakes me up kicking in the night, feels like I'm sharing a secret with my little person.

I love this :beating:
I used to be able to tickle D's toes to get him to move when I was uncomfortable. I loved being pregnant! He just dropped in & I told him that I put that in your diary. He's about 6'1" & probably about 90 kg now. Very fit & big & strong.

That's so cute. Showed Conor and he spent ages trying to find a foot. Failed. Think I need to be a bit bigger..or I guess baby needs to be a bit bigger!

Back from London - the gig was a bit of a disaster, although I did stay standing for the whole 4 hours! Back was cross with me the next morning. Have friends coming over for Dungeons and Dragons tonight. Work was busy - seems like we are doing a lot of the police type work at the moment too. The Tories have left our police force in such a sorry state - they are more stretched than we are, and that's saying something.

Ate very well today (as in, a lot!) - will log food for fun! Trying good habits of logging before little bubba comes.

Breakfast: apple, banana, yog.
Lunch: Salted popcorn, sesame bites, small mac and cheese with salad, tin of pineapple.
Dinner: gnocci with homemade tomato and basil sauce with tenderstem broccoli and Parmesan.
Snacks: alcohol free cider x 2. salted popcorn, a peach, ice lolly.

You look fantastic in your photo H, congratulations to you and your husband. This is such exciting news.

I love Ben Howard, why was the gig a disaster?

Hi, Han. It was towards the end of my pregnancy that I was able to tickle his toes. He must have been "engaged," I think as his head was well down & his toes were always up high. When I slouched I must have squished him a bit. If he still kicked me in the ribs when I straightened up I then gently tickled his toes. He's still cheeky. He was 9lb 6.5 oz's at birth- def. not a small baby :)

He just played his new album which was a shame as I love his older stuff too. Also just wasn't very friendly; didn't introduce himself or the band or any of the songs. Was just silent for the whole thing. Was a bit of a let down.

Which edition are you playing, I am introducing 3 new players to 2nd this weekend.

Hey! We have been playing 5th edition for just over a year. What is your character? I've got a barb tiefling called Mercy. I'm slightly obsessed with her!

Awhh Cate - that's lovely.

Hey! We have been playing 5th edition for just over a year. What is your character?

All of the NPCs lol, I am the Dungeon master. I have played and DM editions 1-4 but prefer a 1/2 hybrid, only done playtesting for 5th prior to release but never played it after release. When I get a chance to play rather than DM I am usually a Dwarf but my most memorable character was a human Bard.

That's cool, Tru. My husband is our DM. We had another one about a year ago but he was all ego and just a bit of an asshole. We are quite a big group (6 of us plus DM) so it's always a good laugh! Especially with a few beers!

Another month down - about 8 weeks to go until little egg appears. I've rejoined my health club (£46 a month...criminal!!) because it has the nicest pool in the world. I went and floated around with my bump and swam lengths for about 20 minutes as well. Back feels amazing now. Baby loved the swim and was kicking around in my tummy very happily.

Still not been weighed by my midwife which is wonderful - imagine I have put on over a stone by now but feeling very strong and supple. No stretch marks yet and I love my big ol' tummy. Part of me is excited to get to the "next bit" of actually having the baby and adapting to a new life but I am enjoying the process very much. Am hoping I will be able to take the baby swimming a few times a week on maternity leave but worried this won't feel very doable when the time comes. Anyone have any experience of trying to exercise as a new mum?

You know sweets. If you think it's doable, then it is. I loved being pregnant too. Floating with your big belly I can just picture. You'll be a great Mum! xoxo

Ah, what a lovely post. I can just feel the happiness emanating from you. So exciting.

I think bringing babies swimming is a big thing so there might be a group you could join after you have the baby.

Congrats on your pregnancy!! I'm sure you've had your baby by now, but I'm just catching up :) Happy Mother's Day
