You're really kicking heiny, Hana! Keep up the great work!

10 days in Cambodia? Is that a thing people from England do? When people in the US want something warm and slightly adventurous, but not dangerous, they go to Jamaica (only certain spots). My sister and her BF rented a shack in a non-fenced resort last year, and it sounds like it was perfect.

Im going to the UK in a year or so once i get quite abit of weight off. Im not sure exactly what part. I just know i dont wanna see one of the tourist traps.

Happy to give you some advice when you're ready to book! I think London is over rated but depends what you want to do/see. I love Portsmouth, but I'm biased ;)

Hello lovely - yes, lots of Brits go to Cambodia! I want to see the temples and do some island hopping. Do Yanks not go to places like that? Jamaica sounds good but I've heard it's dangerous.. Cambodia is dirt cheap once you're over there and quite safe I've heard.

13th February

Breakfast: fridge raiders (44)
Lunch: Indian soup, jelly (401)
Dinner: walnut, pesto pasta bake with parmesan (567)
Snacks: no snaaacks

Total: 1012
Steps: 15,000

Had a low cal day yesterday to combat Valentines meal tonight (Italian babyyy). Will do the same on Weds, Thurs and Fri to try and drop some weight before Iceland. I will feel really unmotivated if I put on a ton whilst I'm away but Iceland is so sickeningly expensive (about £8 for a pint, £30 main courses etc) that I won't be going too mad I hope!

Maybe you can pack something like granola bars to snack on in order to reduce both cravings and cost.

Do Yanks not go to places like that?
I can't speak for west-coasters. Or really for east-coasters, but Asia is a very unusual place for anyone I know of to go, other than business (we have circuit card manufacturers in Malaysia). I do want to go to Vietnam after seeing those episodes of Top Gear.

I feel like Ireland was about as expensive as what you're saying Iceland is. We ended up getting a loaf of bread and some local cheese and jam for our lunches. And since we did B&B, breakfast was covered.

Ahh you went to Ireland? I did Dublin for my hen do and loved it. Grocery shopping was expensive though..similar to London prices.

I was a giant piggy last night. We went to this lovely Italian and I had lots of wine and a desert! It was perfect - like being back on honeymoon :) Had a bit of a sore head this morning and was over calories by about 1000 I think so have been very good today. Will be back later to log food. No other updates :) xx

Aw, that sounds like a great night, must have been very romantic if it was like a honeymoon again! How long have you been married?

Hey Emily, we've been married since August last year so not long. We met online when I was 18 (and with someone else!) and just fell insanely in love with him without even meeting him. We met at the airport in London about a year after we started talking, had a week there and then I flew out to the states and had a week there.. Then we didn't see each other for 6 months and then he quit his job, sold his truck and moved in with me in England. :D So we've been together forever and just made it official last year :)

Just watched "Lion" and am now crying snotty mess. So lovely. All the feels.

15 February

Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: turkey ham sandwich and string cheese (356)
Dinner: walnut pesto pasta with half a naan bread (801)

No snacks and no alcohol today, woo!

Have a funeral tomorrow - I think I wrote in here about my service user who had her baby at 24 weeks and the baba died after 12 hours; I'm going as some support for her and the other young people attending so am there all morning and then completing assessments tomorrow PM. Have done meal prep for next few days and have dinner sorted for tomorrow night. Heading to bed now for an early night with a book. Yank is still reading me Paradise Lost and it's compellllling at the mo.

What a lovely love story Hana :beating:
Re: Lion- I read the book & it's a marvellous story. Very compelling.
What a good woman you are. How lucky these young people are having you as support. Lots of love to you, Han xoxo

Ahh you went to Ireland? I did Dublin for my hen do and loved it.
We went in '08 for our honeymoon. Hopped up the west coast (I love, love, love Donegal), and then a few nights in Dublin. We have a sculpture of bogwood from Donegal on our mantle still.

Had to look up 'hen do', I like it.

Ahh that sounds amazing, LJ. Ireland is so gorgeous. I'd love to go into the countryside next time.

Right, need to run to work. Yesterdays food was very good and I did over 17,000 steps! I'm keeping things low but appear to have only lost a pound since Sunday..I was hoping for a bit more to offset Iceland damage but my tummy is looking super flat and I'm feeling really good about my choices. I think slow and steady is the way to go..last time I lost all my weight I was starving myself for a lot of the time and not having a great time of it. Best to do it at a normal pace I think so it stays on. Unlike last time I did this I've not had any weeks of putting weight back on - I've still been going out for meals etc and living my life. I feel okay about the pace I think. Anyway, will weigh in properly after work and post my week 7 results early as won't be here on Sunday.

16th Feb

Breakfast: apple (80)
Lunch: low-fat super noodles (304)
Dinner: baked potato, tin of beans, 30% less fat cheese (535)
Snacks: crackers x 6 with light cheese spread (296)

Total: 1215
Steps: 17,000

Flat tummy, feeling good about your choices, taking it slowly, still going out for meals & living your life without any weeks of gaining, about to go to Iceland with the love of your life.....what's not to love about this post? Nothing! :D xoxo

Thaaaank you for flying with Norwegian Air, please change your trousers on the way out. Am curled up on the sofa with the cats now doing very little. Feel exhausted! Have kept food very good today and will brave the scales on Sunday for my usual weigh in..

Editing my photos now so will post some gooduns later :)
