That is not lunch.

I like to do all my eating in the evening - I have a small lunch otherwise I get tired and lazy in the afternoon :p

The scales are being very kind this morning - finally down another lb! Will be weighing in a bit late this week as at my parents all weekend for Easter.. Emily we didn't end up seeing anything last night - they changed it to today! So we are off to see a broker now and then viewing 4 properties and then getting the train the parents. Got another 22 mile hike planned for Good Friday tomorrow with Dad & Yank - not long til the 80 mile walk so need to get prepared!

12th April

Breakfast: alpen bar (65)
Lunch: low-fat super noodles, seeds (359)
Dinner: turkey dinosaurs, cous cous, carrots, green beans (641)
Snacks: half a pint of beer, crisps (367)

Steps: 12,000
Total: 1432

:) Whatever works for you. Hope you get shown some cool properties!

Boy oh boy - what a weekend. Thursday we saw 4 houses - really liked them all but fell in love with a little 2 bed place near our current place. Needs central heating installed, tiny bit of damp that needs fixing up, new carpet upstairs etc but all in all the right balance between ready to move in and needing enough work to be able to put my (sorry, our! Although, really mine) stamp on it. Made an offer and then went home to the parents. Walked 22 miles on Friday with Dad and Yank which was great, got some massive blisters but had a lovely day. Then dad, who is a surveyor, drove us back down to Southsea to look at the house. He agrees with the issues but thinks it's great and we met the neighbours who were great. So we reduced our offer and am now waiting to hear back (either tomorrow or Tuesday!) as to whether they will accept it.

So, feeling nervous, excited, anxious and in a big ol' hurry to find out where we stand! It could all still go to shit but I'm cautiously optimistic. We shall see. So we are on a shoe-string budget from now as desperately need to find some more cash to do the work it needs!!

Down a lb which is the best I could hope for considering we have been away for 3 days and I've not calorie counted.

Jan: -10lbs
February: -5lbs
March: -5lbs

Week 13:
179 to 178 (-1)
Week 14: 178 (0)
Week 15: 177 (-1)

Total: 22lbs down since Jan 1st 2017

That's great about the new place. It's all happening! Did you reduce your offer because of your dad's recommendations or was there another reason?

Exciting indeed  The reason why I don´t want to buy anything here is... that I can´t expect my dad to come look at properties with me. And I don´t trust anyone else I know (least of all myself) to get it right so I´m scared I´d end up with something that would burn up endless money without ever becoming livable. Yay for dads who know their stuff!

Yeah, it needs some floorboards lifting etc. The whole thing is making me so anxious - I hate the unknown!!

Slept terribly last night - have been feeling really worried about the house and everything that could go wrong. Should hear today but I have a really important meeting that will last all morning. Le Sigh. I was literally trying to count sheep last night to fall asleep. Got about 5 hours so will power through today and hit the hay early tonight.. I've made about a thousand Amazon wishlists with the new things I'd buy for my possible home and we are living on no money at the moment to save as much as we can. I reckon I can put away another £1000 next month but need to be very, very good with going out!

17th March

Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: ravioli on toast (249)
Dinner: gnocci with broccoli and parmesan (666)
Snacks: cobra beer, crisps (412)

Steps: 9000

Oh, don't be worried. Try to trust in the fact that if you don't get this one, it's because there's an even better place out there for you. You have no control over it so no point worrying, right?

:iagree: Try not to worry too much Hana xoxo

I'm just an anxious beaaaan. Sure it'll be fine. Not heard anything yet and have seen another one I want to view so keeping my options open. Went to bed really early last night - calories were good. No change on the scales yet though!

18th April

Dinner: gnocci with broccoli and parmesan again! (750)
Snacks: easter chocolate! (345)

Try not to get too anxious about whether you get the house... There are great houses everywhere - its like buses - if you miss one there will be another along in a minute which will be just as good. Yes - the street is nice and the neighbours seem like good people - but you will get that a lot of places too...

Don't build a relationship with a house until it is bought... Until then - just think of it like any other item you would buy.

You are doing great - keeping your calories under control 15 weeks into your project. Also - excellent walking - with a marathon walking extravaganza on the horizon.

My son rehabs homes for a living and repairs can be expensive; i know because I've been asked to be his banker several times. Anyways; dont let the projects overwelm you. Just take them on one at a time. Just focus on This project and forget about the others till you finish. If you have to call in a pro do what you can to make it easier for them. Something like rotten or broken floors you could pull out the bad wood yourself if possible. They are expensive enough for them to fix the problem so if you take some of the labor cost out of the scenario its all the better.

Best of luck

Thanks guys - you're all so supportive and helpful. We had a long talk and then saw a new one last night and I fell in love with that one too! It needs NO work (pending survey but no obvious work..) and it is just adorable and has so much charm. Withdrew the offer on the one that needed completely redoing and made an offer on this new one and it was accepted this morning! Just got to wait for them to find a house now but they've said they'll go into rented if it takes ages. Really chuffed!

Food was a bit naughty yesterday - calories fine but not good choices.

Breakfast: fruit and yog (125)
Lunch: crisps! (97)
Dinner: pesto pasta with lots of veg (892)
Snacks: glass of beer, kitkat, slice of bread (530)

Total: 1644
Steps: 11,000

As above, well done on the house! We did a similar thing with not being sure on whether to take a house that needed work. It is a load off the mind knowing that it's already been done.

Also seen you've super well on the weight loss! I'm looking at a similar calorie intake. Did it take you long to get used to it, or have you always been quite good with your appetite/portions? (I'm terrible haha).

Hey DA :) I'm awful with portions, especially with pastas, so I try to avoid making too much of that now! Although we had two lots of pesto pasta this week! The shame. I find it really easy to let very little during the day and I really enjoy eating in the evenings so I tend to keep most of my calories for my evening snacks and meal. I love cooking from scratch so I find the calorie logging quite easy. It's taken since Jan 1st to lose 22lbs but I think doing it that slowly has been helpful - I've not had any weeks of gains so slow, steady and consistent is working for me!

Thanks everyone for house congratulations - still very early days but we are really pleased. Gives us lots of time to save more pennies, too! Last night me and Yank worked the soup kitchen again - I was on bread buttering duty for the first 30 mins... not good on an empty tum!! We've been nominated for volunteers of the year so we might have an awards ceremony to go to soon so need to dig out a nice frock that will fit.

Was naughty yesterday and ate really well in the morning and then had an energy slump in the afternoon and instead of taking a walk or having a cup of coffee I had half an easter egg! Very naughty. Pulled it back in time for dinner though. Luckily the crisps have run out now too so will stop munching on them. Doing halloumi, couscous stuffed peppers tonight so will be a low cal day. I've also had no wine since last Saturday. Longest I've gone in about 8 years. So pleased :D
