Thanks gorgeous people.
First day at work was a success - I did 5 hours of Uni work, took a proper lunch break and listened to music aaaaaall day. Was gorgeous. I'm meeting clients from tomorrow so will get some decent walks in (new office in middle of nowhere and I don't drive) and I'm visiting some day centres and care commissioners to talk about the adult service. I think I'll like it there. Been allocated some cases so looking forward to meeting them this week :D Feeling very chill.. as a result - no alcohol for two nights running and healthy food! I made the most gorgeous dinner from scratch and have jambalaya in the slow cooker for meal prep! Wanted a lower day today as have been naughty over the weekend.

30th January

Breakfast: graze box (130)
Lunch: string cheese, rice with broc and peas (237)
Dinner: home-made cauliflower and green bean indian soup..coconut milk, chicken stock, spices and some indian bread (449)

Total: 1223
Steps: 11,000

Oh, honey what a great day! That's excellent :)

No alcohol for two nights running and healthy food? Look at you go! Great job! Great job on the weight loss too!

You guys are all so lovely. I love this place - you always lift me back up :) I really appreciate you coming to check in on me and cheer me on. Know we will all reach our goals with this sort of support <3

Woke up feeling lovely and slim and not bloated and horrible. Got up at 6 to start the slowcooker going and have made a gorgeous jambalaya type thing. My friend is super nit picky and told me it's not a real jambalaya as I don't put seafood in it but the spice mix is the same and I use smoked sausage and chorizo. Negative ninny. Babysitting tonight (ironically for negative friend ;)) so will be home late. I don't mind babysitting at hers as she has TV that we don't have (we don't have a TV license so just watch Netflix and playstation stuffs) so I can relax with a low-cal dinner and chillll - I'm taking a healthy dinner to make there rather than ordering take out like I normally do. It also means no wine again which is fabulous! Three days in a row will start my week off fantastically.

Check in later if I'm home in time <3 x

Wow that sounds really good. I cook about the same way. I love curry powder on grilled and baked meats but its not a "curry." ;)

Haha just realized you are in the UK so our time difference is what- roughly 6 hours? East coast USA here.

Ignore my pointless ramblings, they slip out occasionally.

Anyway- just peeked in to read and catch up on your happenings. :beerchug:

Hey Nichole, thanks for posting :D Glad you're enjoying the forum, we're a happy bunch for the most part!

Right, quick update before work. Weight is going in the right direction, randomly went back up to 191 yesterday but am back down to 189 today and have been saintly the last few days so hoping another "good" day will get me down a little more. I did a ton of walking yesterday, mostly in the rain, and have woken up with a stinking cold. Have quite a lot to do at work today so dosed up medicine and have an evening in front of the TV planned for tonight!

31st Jan

Breakast: jelly, alpen bar (72)
Lunch: rice, broc (221)
Dinner: jambayla, very small portion (456)
Snacks: ciabatta crackers, low-cal cheese spread, an apple and some low-fat crisps (424)

Total: 1173
Steps: 17,800

We saved £300 last month since I've not been drinking/smoking :D Have just put £400 in our savings account for this month..feels good to finally be able to save because I'm not drinking all our money! Have had 3 alcohol free days in a row and reckon I won't drink tonight either as feeling rough.

Catch up tonight x

Nice work on the savings! Saving your money and your body?

She is so gorgeous and lovely, LJ.

Yus, Cate, all spending money for magical Iceland in a few weeks!

New job is getting slightly more interesting - hung out with the occupational therapists today which was quite fun and I've been taught how to do capacity assessments. Seems very strange that after a few hours of reading the care act and a tiny bit of training I am now ready to make decisions about whether people have capacity to make decisions in their lives. With great power, etc etc. Am off to meet my first client tomorrow and review her care package. Looking forward to getting going now, it's been a lot of desk time this week which isn't really my bag, babyyy.

Am full of cold still so heading to bed now. Made more of that delicious curry thing..we've decided its more Malaysian than Indian now. Gorgeous spices. Very waaaarming. At the Soooop kitchen tomorrow so will check in after I'm home then. Did a ton of walking again today. Loving all the free exercise in work hours!

Stupid friend of Yank's pissed me off. Posted this dumb status on FB basically saying "I need help to form an opinion on that there Muslim ban Trump has gone done" (he probably sounded slightly less stupid like that but I'm maaaad) and went on to say that he usually gets all his information/news from Facebook. This is literally what he said. "I've waited patiently to try to figure out from context what exactly is going on with President Trump's Executive Order. At first I expected it to drop in my lap from Facebook, as it has been in the past." Just moronic. I copied and pasted the actual bill in its entirety and told him to read the damn thing and form an opinion. The problem with America, ladies and gents (apart from obvious deluded giant wotsit).

1st Feb

Breakfast: alpen bar (65)
Lunch: jambalaya, pineapple&mango (360)
Dinner: Malaysian soup with green beans and cauliflower, paratha (665)

Total: 1361
Steps: 17,500

How is he only asking about the EO now? This shit has been going on for days. Oh, America. Won't be travelling there any time soon anyway. Let's see how Mr President deals with inevitable dwindling tourism.

Do you have some cool stuff planned for Iceland when you're there? I have never been, but I remember people on Erasmus saying that in the universities there, you could study ghosts and witchcraft and stuff. Don't know how true that is but I thought it was pretty cool. ;)

Iceland....of course. Doh- I had forgotten that you were going to Iceland! :blush5:
It's interesting that you have been given so much responsibility so soon Hana, but they must think you are up to it.
Hope you wake up & the cold has disappeared xoxo

As an American, I feel obligated to defend this fellow countryman. I won't, though, he sounds like a jackhole. It's a messed up scene here; half a month down, 47.5 months to go!

Penis museum? You'll have to visit that & report back! :D Never heard of it.
