Put DOWN the Nutella!

Yea MrVee, I don't buy any kind of snack food that is ok for me to eat (if there's junk food in the house it's Wades and almost always has something in it that'll make me sick!) so when I eat too much it's always on nut butter or toast. Actually I'm usually ok if it's JUST nut butter- a couple of tbsps and I'm full, the problem is when I move on to toast I suddenly feel like I can eat so much more! Grr. It's really dense bread though so that in itself is insanely filling.


Mystic- Aiming for 5 perfect days, counting down till weigh in! I CAN do this!


Actually slept in today, which never EVER happens. Crazy. I didn't get up till 8am, which meant late breakfast/ late swim/ late everything else. Got seriously tanned in the half hour I was outside even though it was 9am! Eek! Must swim earlier!!! Was seriously bloated when I woke up this morning but feeling a lot better now I've exercised and drunk my body weight in water (and coffee). No plans for the rest of the day, dinner is going already as I had a heap of veg to get rid of so it all went in the slow cooker with some beef.


Food plan for tomorrow


B- 2 eggs, 1 piece of sourdough spelt wholemeal, 1/3 avocado

S- Blueberry thick shake

L- Mountain bread with a chicken burger and salad

S- 2 quinoa crispbread with 1 tsp butter

D- Leftover beef and veg stew


Exercise- 30 mins strength training


Calories include 1 cup almond milk for my 2 cups of coffee, I also drink 2 cups of green tea during the day.


Total calories: 1386 Total deficit: 988

Total deficit for the week: 1908 (should still be able to get close to 5000 by Fri!)
 
Yesterday was not as great as I would've liked it to be but I managed a deficit so it's all good. Bleah woke up at 5.30 today, guess I'm back to doing that again after managing a sleep in yesterday! Having a day off exercise/ food plan today, have a planned calorie deficit of course just not stickingto the nutritionist plan. Feel like I need a proper lazy day! Might find a good show to watch or something.

B- Mocha scroll experiment

S- 2 hard boiled eggs

L- Tuna and bean nachoes

S- 2 wheat free crackers with 1/3 avocado

D- Out! Eating around 300cals, so something light


Exercise- 30mins strength training.


Calories include 1 cup almond milk with my 2 cups of coffee and I drink 2 cups of green tea during the day.

Total deficit for the week: 2209 (see, can still get over 4000 this week. Happy with that!)
 
8 am isn't sleeping in! haha. Just a few weeks back I slept in till 2:45!!! :eek:

Sounds like you're doing good! I gotta do some baking this week as I am running out of scones and muffins and want to try a few other recipes!
 
Ha, it's all in perspective, MR. Have a kid, then tell me 8AM isn't sleeping in! If our daughter wakes us up at 7, we feel spoiled.

Also in Australia since Winter is Summer and Summer is Winter, isn't 8 am the evening and 8 pm the morning? Isn't that how it works?
 
Mystic- I've been waking up between 4:30am- 6am most days for over a fortnight, so 8am was a huge sleep in for me! I think when my husband leaves for work he wakes me up, or at least gets me out of a deeper sleep so I wake up just after he's left. It's really frustrating! I can't really sleep any earlier at night, I just keep waking up early!

MrVee- Yea I'm in the future over here! No idea what the time difference would be, it's all over the place right now as 1/3 of the country has daylight savings now so they're 3 hours ahead, a couple of other states don't have it so they're 2 hours ahead, and good ole WA is lagging behind (as usual)
 
Ok so yesterday didn't end up being much of a good day, I broke even calorie wise but didn't have the day off as by 12pm I was going absolutely mental so I jumped in the pool and swam for half an hour. Trying to figure out why I'm in such a funk this week! Getting under 65 is a bit of a milestone so I would think that would spur me on rather than make me go all over the place. I should still be able to lose half a kg this week (SHOULD, but who's body is really straight forward when it comes to weight loss!?) I would like to say the next 3 days will be perfect but today is going to be difficult- not in the being good sense, in the calorie control sense. I'm going out for both lunch AND dinner today! Lunch will be easy, it's where we normally go so fish and salad is what I'll get. But dinner is at a club house for someone's birthday- So it's MUCH later than I'd normally eat for starters, and I have no way of figuring out what they serve or if they would even serve much I could eat. I would hate it if I go out and have to eat a scrappy dry salad after starving for a few hours (I normally eat dinner 5ish, this is at 7!) Grrr. It's pretty shit.


Food plan for tomorrow- Day 27 of 112 (so close to the end of the month!)


B- 2 eggs, 1 piece wholemeal spelt sourdough, 1/3 avocado

S- Blueberry and coconut thickshake

L- Mountain bread pizza with anchovies, uncheese, spinach, tomatoes

S- Chopped carrot and celery sticks with uncheese

D- Meatballs, pumpkin and broccoli


Exercise- 30mins swimming


Calories include 1 cup almond milk for my 2 cups of coffee, I also drink 2 cups of tea during the day


Total calories: 1377 Total deficit: 997

Total deficit for the week: 2354
 
I'm actually more worried about things being pre-crumbed, or pre-made salad with cheese in it. I'm intolerant to wheat and dairy and sometimes that's the case. If it is like that though I'm assuming there will be some form of steak on the menu I can eat, even if I have to avoid veges!


Lunch was good, had grilled snapper with salad and a couple wedges of lemon to flavour it all. NOM!
 
Good Job on the food Lucy.....I think the funk is the time of the year....over here in Canada anyways we get less sun and it's getting cold, and people are stressed over the upcomming hollidays people are in a funk!!!!
 
And I can tell you from experience, when Canadians get funky it can get ugly pretty quick. :biggrin:

Vero, this week has kind of been one flop after another lol. Don't know what's wrong with me! I know no damage done, it's just probably no progress made either. Boo!


MrVee- we're having a strange drop in temp this week, supposed to only be 33C-35C all week (really uncharacteristic for this time of year!) Means I don't have to stress quite so much about getting up early for a swim!


Argh so my butt is absolutely killing me from yesterdays workout, first thing I noticed this morning. Also feeling blah from eating so late last night (didn't actually get our dinner until after 8pm!) Everything WAS pre-crumbed/ floured, the waitress looked at me like I was a nutter and said I should have called ahead. Ended up having a small steak and a salad (salad= 2 lettuce leaves and a spiralised carrot for garnish). I did eat a bit more than I should have again yesterday, ended on a deficit of around 400 cals (at a guess, having dined out twice in one day). Going to have an awesome day today and tomorrow, will hopefully get rid of the fluid retention and will just have to see what the scales tell me on Fri!

So didn't have a great food day, I ate up to maintenance and it was all random food... I made a coconut ice recipe that I nibbled on all day (it was really REALLY good), had a couple of pieces of toast and a couple of hard boiled eggs. The last thing I ate was at like 2pm when I was like NO MORE. At around 7 my stomach randomly turned and I spewed and all I could taste was coconut! Ahhh!!!! Don't know if it was from too much rich food or if Ash brought a bug of some kind home from work. Really don't want to be sick, want to get a workout in tomorrow and at least ONE good food day this week before my end of month weigh in on Fri!
 
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. It's difficult when you're not feeling well physically to feel well emotionally but I hope you can still manage to keep your spirits up.
 
You're consistently managing less than 1400 cal/day. It's quite difficult to do - I tried a couple of times & it wasn't pretty. Do you eat a little bit more a few days just to keep your metabolism going?
 
Thanks Vero + MrVee, I feel a lot better this morning. Think it must've been something I ate! Of course I got the usual 'Oh, maybe you're pregnant' from people which is so freakin annoying by the way. Since I got married as soon as you feel a bit sick that's the first thing people say, even though I actively tell EVERYONE kids are off the cards for many years. Doesn't stop people picking away at us at family gatherings etc.


Hey Flame! I have a few heavier days every week, one day a week I have a cheat meal which usually brings my cals up to around 2000-2400 for the day and a few other days a week I usually eat around 1600-1700. I aim for a total overall deficit of between 4000-4500 a week. My intake is probably lower than others, I'm mostly sedentary as I have chronic knee and hip problems that don't let me stand for long periods of time. I'm actually pretty comfortable consuming 1400 most days!


Still going to do a workout today, I was waiting to see how I was feeling and I don't feel any worse now than I do after having a couple of drinks the night before. I ate a fair bit of coconut/ coconut oil yeterday and from what I can see if you don't build up to it it can make you sick, so wonder if it was that. Or one of the meals I ate out the day before.

Not feeling confident about weigh in tomorrow, I've still had a deficit this week but worried being sick (even if it was just for a few hours) will mess it up a bit. I didn't vomit enough to fully make the scales drop from fluid (haha, sorry if TMI. It's true though) but from experience it can usually make me retain a bit for a few days while my body is sorting itself out. I don't know, could go either way. I actually think I've shrunk again this week but we will see! End of month one too. Don't know why I was so dodgy with the food this week! Plan on being a lot better for the next fortnight, have started writing up my food plan (have to do that to work recipes for my blog into my daily meals) and am planning an 800cal deficit every day for the next week (around 1500-1600cals a day). Hopefully I won't have too much catch up to play to get to 62kgs by Christmas! (My goal was to be 64kg by tomorrow)

Speaking of, my husband ordered my Christmas present yesterday! http://www.thepolarshop.com.au/fitness-cross-training-c-6/ft7-female-black-p-89 I have always wanted one, I'm so excited! Going to see if I can get a new bikini as well maybe from Wade as my boobs have decided to catch up to the rest of my body and don't really fill out my current ones as well as they did before. I think it's more from my back shrinking than my boobs if I'm being honest, but there's only one catch so I can't tighten them.

D- Black bean spaghetti topped with pasta sauce and mushrooms, served with 140g chicken breast and green beans


Exercise- 30mins swimming


Calories also include 1 cup of almond milk for my 2 cups of coffee, I also have 2 cups of tea during the day.

My new training program arrived in the mail today!! Hurray! It looks absolutely terrifying but I'm sure I can manage it lol. It's a 5 day plan so my exercise is going up a notch! 2 days a week I'll be both working out AND swimming. Also worked out a food plan for the fortnight- the first week every day has an 800cal or more deficit (but not by much) and the send week has a 700cal deficit. A few days in the second week are a little lighter so I can pick whichever day I want as a cheat and have 2 drinks with it and I'll still end on the deficit I want for the week. After the fortnight I'll reassess and sort out the next fortnight in order to get to my Christmas goal! I should be caught up by then so hopefully will only need a 600cal deficit the last 2 weeks which will make life easier.


Should get progress pics up tomorrow for the month, seriously hoping I've lost SOMETHING this week otherwise I have to lose 700g a week for a whole month, not sure how possible that is. Even if I've only lost 200g it gives me more leeway. We shall see!
