Put DOWN the Nutella!

Hey honey, glad you're back too. I just came back after monthhhhs of being away. Good luck and well done with the food logging, your noms look so healthy! xxxx

Sunflower!!!!!!!!! Welcome back

Yay, I AM OFFICIALLY ON HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going home tomorrow, early flight in the morning. Just did 5 hours at work today, have a bit of house cleaning and cooking to do today before I go (just going to bake stuff with the fruit we have left over, otherwise we'll be chucking it in the bin!) Still walking really slowly, but was much better getting around today. Gunna be healthy while away too... Doing a shop the day we get there for snacks, just going to get really small things... apples, pre-sliced cheese (not the processed stuff) and PB... I figure my meals will probably be bigger as we will be socialising etc, so thought keeping snacks small would be a pretty good idea. I'll still be posting though!!!! Going to aim for 4000cal deficit for the week (won't get to weigh in until the following Tue, so that's 8 days... should be easy!)

Also... When we get back, it'll be exactly 6 weeks till Wade and I head to the Gold Coast!!!!!!! So I was going to start a 12 week challenge- I'll take before photos when I get back, do 6 weeks really hard and take half way photos, have 3 'in between' weeks on holidays (in which I will still be being healthy) ... then will complete the other 6 weeks when I get back. Would totally LOVE it if I could get down to 63.5 again by the time we go away (leaving Sep 11) so will be aiming for that!!! And I'll be trying hard to lose while I'm on holidays too. I'll have my rehab and exercise equipment with me so no excuses!!! I bought a gymstick so I can take that anywhere I go and get strength training in.

SOOOO CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOME!!!! Going to see The Dark Knight Rises, the Amazing Spiderman, going to eat fish n chips for the first time in forever, getting my hair done... Not to mention I'll be home so I won't have to cook and I'll be catching up with everyone!!!!!!!!!!

Will post a guess at food intake later, going to go and bake all my bananas into an oatmeal cake... think this one is going to be choc peanut butter. Going to miss the sour cherries in the one I just made, they were SO GOOD!

Ate a heap after posting last night... freakin out about the flight, haha!! I suck. But seriously. Wasn't going to weigh myself, but did, and despite all the food I still managed to lose 200g and hoping that I'm retaining a bit as well... should be a good loss next week! So 69kg today.

Flight was ok... Watched the Hunger Games finally, enjoyed it!!! They served us breakfast today so had muesli and milk and a bread roll on the plane. Just been hanging out at home and catching up with my family, it's been nice! Didn't bring my crutches, really regretting that now. Going to hire some tomorrow! Also going to go shopping for some clothes for hubby n get some coffee with my mum...then dropping her off and going to watch Dark Knight Rises, yewwwwwwww!!!! Taking my dad out on Thu to watch it (again) and also getting him Nando's for dinner. I SOOOO miss hot chicken tenderloins and Mediterranean salad.... can't WAIT!!!

S: (Plane food) muesli with milk, small dinner roll with butter
L: Flat white coffee with hilo milk, piece of homemade bread (HUGE piece) with a slice of cheese

Did a strength workout this morning before work, also spent a fair amount of time on my feet getting ready, in both airports, and a bit around the house (which I'm now paying for!)

Tasted awesome!! Had some more for breakfast this morning. Catching up with people last night was good too, been so long since I've seen people!

Hey lucy, just wanted to pop in to see how your getting on, i am shocking for commenting on other diaries, i just pop on, and update my own diary!! lol

I really wanna see dark knight rises, but i am scared incase i would be lost because ive never seen the other ones?! lol

What did you get done to your hair hun?

I also just want to say, thank you so so so much for the kind advice you gave to me on my diary. Your experience really helped me to see perspective, and i hope i can get over it one day soon, thanks a million chicken xxxxxxxxxx

Ok so yesterday wasn't the great day I was hoping for... ate more than I planned, had only a 200cal deficit. Feeling pretty bloated and awful today!! Just got to survive the next 2 days as best as I can for weigh in on Tue!! Don't know how it's going to go... even if I end up with a deficit I feel bloated and BLAH from eating heaps of heavy food. I think if I weigh in even I'll be stoked! Starting a MEGA 12 week challenge when I get back- going to do a structured workout routine and clean eating! Gunna go HARD! Would love to be 64kg by the half-way 6 weeks because that's when I'm on holidays with Wade!

Irish!- Haha I'm pretty bad at checking up on other people too, it's not just you!!

Yea if you don't know the comics and you haven't seen the previous movies Dark Knight Rises may be a little less enjoyable as a lot of inside story is from previous characters. I reckon they're all worth a watch, but they're my kind of movie!

I had half a head of blonde foils and a pretty big overall tidy up of my many layers... my hair is super thick when it gets long and I've snapped so many hair elastics in the past couple months!!! The curse of curly hair I think!

Yea crushes are a painful/frustrating thing. I have no doubt you'll get past it and find someone who appreciates you for who you are- and vice versa!!! And if what I wrote helped you then I'm glad!

Hmm so had a bit of a graze this morning- ate 2 leftover roast potatoes and a slice of zucchini loaf with butter! Have to leave for the airport by 12pm as it's a 2 hour drive... flying at 3pm (eek!) Probably won't eat again until the plane. So not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow!! Will probably end with around a 2200 cal deficit all up for the week. So bloated and rank feeling though!! Ah whatever, I know it could have been so much worse if I'd let it! 6 weeks till my next holiday, hopefully I'll be considerably smaller by then. Thinking of coming home again either in Nov or Jan!

Arrgh, 800g gain on the scales!!! Which is frustrating as hell as I had a calorie deficit!!!! Mind you I'm still bloated as, think it might have something to do with my IBS... I'm not gunna let it worry me, I'm still under 70 (JUST)... So, have exactly 6 weeks until I go on my next holiday- off to Queensland with Wade!!!! Aiming for 65kg by then!! And today marks the first day of the 12 week challenge I'm about to do. Actually have made up a chart of where I want to be every week, and to get to my goal it's actually going to take more like 20 weeks... but I figured if I'm busting it extra hard for the first bit I can still look pretty good by holidays. And then all my clothes will be fitting again!! Go goals for the next 12 weeks are:

Week 6- 65kgs (will take progress photos here)

Week 9- (back from hols) 63.5kgs

Week 12- 61.5kgs (aaaand more progress pics)

Then for the rest of it-

Week 16- 59.5kgs

Week 20- 58kgs

Also have made up a 20 week budget that kind of matches it so will be able to easily bust through most of my debt in that period of time. Discussing what we are going to do next year when my husbands contract is up- we've decided to buy a house back home and sell our apartment in Perth. It really needs a paint and a bathroom makeover so going to get the money for that out of husbands bonus and my dad will do it up so we can sell. Then hopefully bust it saving so we can get another mortgage! Wade will be coming with us too, had a talk to him last night and he's decided he's going to stay in Port Hedland for the next year and come with us home as he thinks there is nothing left for him in Perth. So... planning for the next 5 months to be a lot of hard work and living poor to get rid of my credit cards and get to my goal weight!! Not letting my stupid knees hold me back!!!!

Food for today[/b]

B: PB and choc oatmeal cake

Post workout snack: Protein shake with skim milk

L: Homemade pea and potato soup

D: Half a serve of homemade Greek penne salad

Workout is already done!

Just took a heap of pics as 'before' pics... actually weren't as horrible as I was expecting, except I look kind of pregnant in some cuz you can see how bloated I am!!!! I was thinking about posting some, but I might wait until the halfway mark so I can post comparison shots. Pretty impressed with my bum though, I've had to do glute strengthening exercises every day for the last 4 weeks as per physio instructions... It's super round and lifted. Haha but the photo I took, my butt looks awesome, then there's these huge awful love handles above it and really bad saddle bags below it.

If anyone is interested in what I'm doing for the 12 week challenge.... I'll give you a quick outline!! It's pretty much clean eating- so think heaps of all foods (unprocessed protein, wholegrains, fruit, veg, dairy) but anything more elaborate I have to make myself using the natural form of those ingredients. So pretty much no packaged or overly processed foods... Think my exceptions are pretty much tinned fish, olives, sundried tomatoes, etc etc. So not cutting out anything, as long as I make it myself!!! Uhm my body doesn't really agree with gluten, but ok in small amounts.. going to be trying to get most of my carbohydrate from rice/ oatmeal/ fruit and veg- but definitely not cutting out pasta and bread, I just don't eat much of them anyway! Not drinking alcohol or soft drinks and making sure I get my multi-vitamins in the morning and fish oils at every meal... also having a protein shake most days as otherwise I usually only get like 20g of protein a day. Oops!! Exercise is strength training every other day (or 3x a week) and I'm hoping to start swimming again on in between days...just going to see what the physio says on Fri. So yea... see how I go!! I plan on going hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My last day off... back to work/reality tomorrow!!! Boooooooooo, hiss!! And of course I woke up at 7am today... no sleep in for me! Going to go pick up my knee brace this morning so hopefully it'll make life easier.

That documentary sounds really motivating, must check it out!

Also can i ask how many cals do you know your daily deficit is from what you eat? like, what calculator do you use?

Well done you for doing so brill:):)

xxxxxxxxxx

whats the documentary about??? I've been watching a show called "heavy" its about these 2 people that go to a "spa" to lose weight, its really motivating to me! I've never heard of chicken meatballs...sound good! did you make them yourself?

Hiya Korrie! The documentary was about a heap of different things- it was a huge pile of doctors and nutritionists and people who had been severely overweight presenting medical findings and things they learnt from personal experience. It was a heap about the dangers of hidden sugars and processed food, explaining why it was addictive, a heap about soft drink as well- those are only really small parts of it though, it kind of touches on every area of the modern diet and having the right mindframe to lose weight. It was really good!!

I make the chicken meatballs myself- I use 1kg chicken breast mince, 400g feta (I crumble it), 2 eggs, a small jar of chopped semi-dried tomatoes, a small jar of sliced black olives, a chopped onion which prior to adding to the mix I soften in a pan with garlic and chili and sometimes a grated zucchini... then I mix it all up and bake them in the oven, it usually makes about 50. And they are SO good!!! They're a bit different every time, I make them and freeze them for my work lunches and have like 4-5. Good hot AND cold!
