pushups

hey guys how maney push up and sets should one do to work there upper body and should it be done couple times a week or everyday?
 
Pushups can only take you so far in terms of muscle development, not enough resistance. However, if you find them tough I would say 3x10 reps, 2-3 times a week. If you can already do that, time for bigger weights (same set, rep amount). Also, if your serious, you should work the whole body.
 
Go 'til failure, if you can do more than 30.. They're not helping very much.. Probably do it every other day. Don't forget to work your back, you don't want to be unproportional.. Try push ups, pull ups, pistols, etc.. If you don't know what these are google them
 
for real i heard push ups and crunches and running with help alot but not as much as lifting and all that... i just want something to do untill i join the gym in a couple weeks.....
