pushups=gain in muscle mass?

do pushups help you gain muscle mass in ure pecs,arms,shoulders,etc? say u do 250 pushups a night. would i gain increases in my pecs and arms or is it just an endurance thing?

I already asked that same question someone before; you will see some pretty big results when you start doing them but later you will see very small changes, it’s better to lift heavier weights.
