pushup problems

i'm not too sure if this is an issue, but for some time now whenever i do pushups i hear an unpleasant "pop" or "crack" in my right shoulder. it's never really caused me any pain or anything (which i why it's hard to find a diagnosis online), but i try to avoid putting too much pressure on it anyway. anyone know what that might be?

Do you notice the popping when you do any other exercise or movements? Like my shoulder pops when it is out to my side at a ninty degree angle and I rotate my arm backwards (Tech terms - shoulder 90 degrees abducted and elbow 90 flexion and then externally rotated)...

For me that is my bicep tendon snaping over in the bicep groove... I hurt that shoulder before and I have a bad tendon so I just need to strengthen my biceps to increase the tension of the tendon so it's not so lax. (which I'm in the process of doing)...

I have a similar problem, only the noise seems seems to be coming from right between my shoulder blades, or maybe it's both my shoulder blades at the same time, I'm not sure because I can't feel it but the noise gives me cause for concern.
I don't have a problem with any other joints once i've done a bit of a warm up, but I just can't do any push ups without hearing that damn cracking

could it be that it'll go away once I start to develop those muscles?

Almost everyone has joints that pop and crack...if it doesn't cause any pain or irritation, I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it, but make sure you balance your training so that your shoulders maintain a biomechanically favorable position.

If you are really worried about it the correct person to ask is your doctor.

Seriously, thats the best answer.
