Initial remarks

I was pressed for time, so I skipped the dynamic warm-ups.


Dynamic Warm-up

Superset with full rest, 60s, Tempo: N
  • Squats
    • WU: 5x95, 3x120, 3x145
    • 3x12x160 (+10lbs, +360lbs TL)

  • Bent over row
    • WU: 5x72.5, 3x90, 3x108
    • 12x120, 11x120, 7x120 (+10lbs/rep, -960lbs TL)

I didn’t feel in my best of form for the squats, so I’ll stay at 160 for one more workout. I’m also not sure if I did 12 or 10 for the last set. Doesn’t matter, I’m staying put for now. The rows went well, but I’m hoping I can increase fast enough to get to 130-135 before the end of FLI.

  • Supine Hip Extensions
    • WU: NONE
    • 3x12xBW(o)

  • DB Push Press
    • WU: 5x27.5, 3x32.5, 3x40
    • 12x45, 11x45, 7x45 (+2.5lbs/h, -135lbs TL)

The PPs went well also. I’ll have something to shoot for before the end of FLI.

  • Rotational Lunge

  • Swiss-ball Crunch
    • WU: 5x5, 3x10, 3x15
    • 3x12x20

I’m in a bind for the crunches, same as before, I’m teetering to the point I may go over if I try to increase the load.

I’m going to increase the rotational lunges next workout.

Supported Internal Rotation: 12x5, 2x12x7.5, 60s rest, tempo: 311.

Day Three Anxiety...

It doesn't change.

I've been a non-smoker for 10 weeks or so in step 1 (21mg), four weeks longer than nicoderm says is necessary, and just yesterday I went to step 2 (14mg). So it's day two of step two and it feels like day two of step one, minus the craving to smoke.

I don't feel like smoking, but I need to do something to fight this anxiety. I lost my motivation, but I think Saturday I'll need to get out to the gym just to dull this edge.

Four weeks to go before it's all out of me.

Tony, yes, I've taken an extended break.
 
I'm starting back into it again. Since I've been off so long and hadn't been taking my creatine, I'm doing 2x12 for A and B twice each to break my azz in again, then I'll finish FLI.
