Psychological warfare on forums, help...

i`d still smack him.........but thats just me.

it sound like it`s almost sorted ....i hope so

im off to watch TRUE GRIT now ciao:)

I was on a local fishing forum site. Met a bunch of what seemed to be cool people. Things were good for a year or so. Then varioos wives got involved and just by their catty nature turned the whole site into a backstabbing gossip forum. I posted a dissertation on how pathetic the whole situation is and cancelled my account. Turned out I apparently said all kinds of stuff about people on there. Which I didn't. But I deleted my account so I was the easy target. Fine by me I don't need friends like that anyway. I currently still talk to 1 person on there out of about 15.

I don't play he said she said games I dont' have time for that nonsense. I'm not going to defend what I did say or did not say. Those people are all adults and I figure they can make up their own minds and believe whatever they chose to.

The only regret I have is I got fairly close to a couple members whom I thought I could trust. Apparently that wasn't the case. I'm sure I'll be contacted soon by a few of them for the use of my boat. But I'll be too busy to respond to their emails or phone calls.

Moral of the story : F*CK EM

Kraken, I know exactly what you mean!

FWIW, the guy who runs my problem-forum is a friend of mine, we even went mountain biking yesterday. He ended-up giving the 2 assailants AND ME a one-week ban to let things cool off. I protested that I was merely the victim, but he explained that I was still going back & forth with vulgarities...so it's a presidence.

Hey, it's the internet....I'm already over it. Next time I'll just post something like "Eww...such inticing bait so cleverly designed to provoke a response. Thanks for the thought, think I'll pass...but keep up the good work and fight the good fight!".

Moving on....:)
