Week 6 Challenge: Dance More! (Cumulative)

Current Weight: 262 (lost 2 pounds  )

Day Thirty-Six:
Yay! Lost 2 pounds this week. I am now FOUR pounds away from the 50 pound landmark. Yay!

Okay, so today, I woke up EXTREMELY late. The reason was cause I let myself sleep in. Although I woke up early, I knew I was tired so I went back to bed. I didn't want to eat breakfast and then fall asleep. So I let my body sleep an extra 3 hours. When I woke up it was very late. I had a very late breakfast of cereal, milk, laughing cow cheese & a cup of papaya. Later I had another cup of papaya as a snack. An even later lunch later was grilled salmon and salad with romaine lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber. About a tablespoon & a half of sweet onion vinegarette. I also had oven-baked fries with no salt. Just a touch of olive oil & pepper and about a tablespoon of ketchup. Oh and a cup of milk again. Cause lunch was SOOO late, hell, it should be called dinner cause I had it like around 6pm... I'm not gonna eat a third meal. Call it a night early and go to bed. Overall calorie count is about 1010 calories, 21% overall fat with about 5% saturated fat. I'm still working on my water. But it should be the usual 2.5L once I'm finished. Sodium is way under today probably cause I'm missing a meal.

Yknow... I realized that at my HIGHEST weight, 308 pounds, I could literally have been TWO overweight Me's. What do I mean by that? 308 pounds divided by 2 is 154 pounds. I could have been two people for my height. What's worse is not only could I have been TWO people, those two would STILL be OVERWEIGHT according to the BMI calculators. Ack!

Another thing I realized is that I've made amazing progress so far. Forty-six pounds. That's great. But I still got a long way to go to reach my goal of 125 pounds. I need to lose 137 pounds more. Holy. That's an entire Jessica Simpson or Drew Berrymore right there! But don't worry, I'm not feeling defeatist. I'll keep going and keep striving for my goal. p'-'q

Piney - LOL. Not yet. But maybe soon enough. :)

Papermoon - Awwwh. Thanx.

Sillygirl - No. No I really can't. LOL. My wallet cannot justify it at all. But I will probably buy myself something wonderful when I reach my goal. I just haven't decided what yet.

Anyways... For your viewing... heh. Here's a headshot of me from two different photos.

One was from a Halloween party last year hence why I'm in shades and my hair was all slicked back... I was in costume! This is around my highest weight around 308 pounds. Second photo was from a week or two ago when I went to the Chinese Lantern Festival. I weighed 264.

These were the best headshot comparisons I could find actually. There's no good body shots of me in the Halloween photo collection though. I'm doing ALOT of weird funny poses with my friends cause it was Halloween and we were all in costume.

Anyways, I don't see a HUGE difference but I lost some weight around the neck and chin I think.

EDITED: REMOVED PIC

I can see a big difference. I think sometimes we are the worst judge of these things when it comes to ourselves. I'm very proud of you!

Week 6 Challenge: Dance More! (Cumulative)

Day Thirty-Seven:
Okay, today was a lil on the high side. About 2000 calories with 25% fat, 15% saturated. Breakfast was my usual. Lunch was a chickpea sandwich. Dinner was rice, broccoli & beef BUT my family got take-out and I couldn't resist so I nibbled on some of their food. PLUS, today was just SMOKING HOT. It was 38C (100.4F) outside but with humidity and smog, it was as high as 48C (118.4F). HOLY! That's hotter than the INTERNAL body of the human being. Needless to say, I was hot. Even with the A/C going on!! Hence why I had a lil ice cream and 2 truffles. ^__^;; Sodium is over. Water... I'm still working on it. Didn't dance today. But tomorrow is Wednesday and I plan to dance for my exercise. And dance a lil longer than normal because that's my challenge this week!

C, I can see a huge difference. Of course when I just saw the pictures without explanation I thought, "Wow! Her hair looks so much better". I'm such a dork :)

I see a difference! You're right, the major differences are your neck and chin but I also see some in your cheeks and eye brows as well.

You've lost 46 pounds...that is fantastic. I can't wait until I can say that I've done that. Congratulations!

:)

Cannon - lol. Heh. I'll take the hair comment as a compliment anyways thank you. ^__^ And yes you are sometimes but that's why you're great. *hugs*

Kaitie - Thanks Kaitie. :) And really... cheeks & eyebrows too? I can't really see it... But maybe it's just me. I think I'll need to lose another 50 pounds before I can see any real difference on me still. Hopefully that won't be too long from now though. ;) p'-'q

I would seriously kill people if I danced...either from laughter or my boobs knocking them to the ground. :)

Sometimes its hardest to see the changes in yourself, and sometimes the changes are really subtle anyways... but really, is it the external changes that's the most important? You are looking much better, but I bet your heart and lungs and in general your whole body is doing much better with nearly 50lbs less to have to support!

Kind of like, when I was in high school, I hated leaving anything in my locker for fear of it being stolen because each locker had the same lock each year, so I'd carry all my text books in my backpack. And I would ALWAYS be running late for the bus and had to make like a 200m dash every morning with this giant backpack. The one day on the weekend, or maybe the summer, I was running late for the bus yet again but didn't have my backpack on - holy smokes I felt like I was flying! Running was so much easier without an extra 20lbs on my back and I made it to the bus in about half the time.

That's kind of how I always picture losing so much weight, anyways, though it usually doesn't happen so fast, because we don't wear our fat strapped to our back, but you get my point ;)

Piney - lol! I am honoured. Let's shake our booties on the dancefloor girl. :D

Kaitie - If they laugh at you, they deserved to be killed. I'll whack them for ya. :D

Beagle - Yeah... I know you're right. But I don't FEEL different either. I don't feel much different or look that much different. I know internally I'm healthier though. My estrogen is higher, my sugar levels are lower, etc. Still though... I feel still... like me?

Week 6 Challenge: Dance More! (Cumulative)

Day Thirty-Eight:
Okay, today was abotu 1200 calories with 16% overall fat & 5% saturated fat. Breakfast was my usual. Lunch was grilled cheese sandwich (no butter or margarine, 2 slices of fat free cheese) and 6 baby carrots. I had a Nestle mini fudgesicle. Yummy. Only 45 calories too! :D I also had some potato chips. But not alot so don't worry. Dinner I made sushi for the family. Usually when I make sushi I can barely control myself. Weird thing today was I just... Stopped eating. I had about 12 pieces and found myself full and I just couldn't take another bite. Weird. I think my tummy is shrinking or something. Usually that never happens to me. Water is right on cue. But sodium is WAY over today because of the soy sauce. :( I weighed myself today... So I ran up & down the stairs once. And I danced for a lil while today. I'll try to dance some more tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow, I double dared Miss K to not eat any sugary sweets for the next 7 days. And since it's a double dare, I can't eat any sweets too. Heh. We'll see how it goes. :)

C: That must have been a good feeling about not eating as much sushi as you normally do. I bet your stomach is shrinking!

No sugar! I don't think I could do it. My cousin doesn't eat sugar monday - friday's and lets herself eat it on the weekend but then overloads on sugar.

Here is to your 7 days sugar free! Let us know how it goes!

C - I can *absolutely* see the difference in your pictures!! Thanks for sharing them, it is very exciting!!

Week 6 Challenge: Dance More! (Cumulative)

Day Thirty-Nine:
Yuck! I feel gross. Today was definitely an off-day. I went to bed REALLY late last night and consequently woke up super late today. I'm talking when kids get outta school time! Anyways, I had some leftover sushi from yesterday night... And then I polished off the remaining bag of dill pickle chips. Now I feel totally gross. Like gross. I haven't had chips in a very long time and now eating it makes me feel queasy and gross. I think I overloaded my body with fat and salt. Bleh. I feel disgusting. I had to wash my face and brush my teeth afterwards cause my face felt poring out with oil and there was a nasty taste in my mouth afterwards. Bleh. That's the last time I'll be eating chips. If I do, I'll stick to baked chips I think. I feel so sick I can't even eat anything else today. Total calorie count today is about 1700 calories with 29% overall fat & 9& saturated fat. Three liters of water. And way over in sodium thanks to the soy and chips again. Bleh. I'll try to be better tomorrow.
