Project C

Six pounds is completely awesome... and you totally deserve it... :) you've worked your butt off to earn it...

I love that you dance at night.. that's totally cool... not only great exercise but it's fun... and ya gotta have fun.. it's gotta be one of the reasons why you've got such a great attitude.. and are so warm and supportive of everyone else :)

Kinyo - I'm glad u liked it. Yeah... It can be kinda bland if u don't add enough salt. It's really tasty if u have enough though. Try adding more black pepper to the mix. It spices it up. :) As for my endocrinologist, she was happy to see I lost some pounds. But I have to keep taking my pills. My next appointment with her is in December. Hopefully, I will have lost enough pounds to stop taking the pills by then.

Scarlett - Awwh shux. But you're doing great too. Less than a pound left! :) You're the one who's truly inspirational. :)

Mal - Heh. You're are making me blush. Thanks. And yeah... It was fun. :) That's why I plan to do it often. I enjoy it more than actually walking or going to the gym. It's more spontaneous and creative. And since it's just random boogey-ing down, it's not a repetitous monotonous motion.

Week 4 Challenge: Less Salt! (Cumulative)

Day Twenty-Three:
I've been struck with a case of heat exhaustion. Maybe I didn't drink enough water yesterday while dancing or I was outside too long. In any case, I felt sick when I woke up. Nauseous, dizzy and all. As such, I stayed at home and drank water instead of going to my government program. Ah well... After drinking some water, I felt slightly better but I decided to take it easy (ie: alot of resting, no exercise, not even dancing).

I drank about 3.25L today. I only ate about 800 calories though. :( Way under I know but I really didn't feel like eating. I didn't have breakfast today cause I went back to bed due to the nauseousness. And didn't wake up til past noon. I had a chef's salad with romaine lettuce, head lettuce, cucumbers, mushrooms and tomatoes. Just random veggies I had in the house. No dressing. Topped off with a grilled chicken breast. I also made some oven baked fries (made with a lil extra virgin oil and black pepper instead of salt) with some ketchup. Dinner was a cup of penne pasta with that mushroom/chicken mix I made. And as a snack, I had some chips. Bad I know. But my mouth felt kinda bland after the penne pasta. All in all, 800 calories... with 12% overall fat and 3% being saturated fat. It's a good thing I take a multi-vitamin everyday cause I am truly nutrient deprived today according to fitday. At least my salt is only about 1100mg though.

C, I'm really glad to hear about your six pound weightloss! Go FatBlasters! Whoohoo! That's really amazing. Thanks for the little nudge on my diary. I haven't been able to get on. I felt really bad. I looked through our Blasters thread though. I'm really psyched that everyone lost weight!

6 pounds is fantastic, I'm thinking of printing your diary and just copying everything you do he heh. To answer your question on my diary I've never been particulary scared of snakes or tarantulas (house spiders being a different matter entirely). I've handled every single one of my 23 tarantulas at one point or another and never been bitten, I picked up a house spider once and yes you guessed it the little bugger bit me.

Von - Yay! You're back. I was beginning to worry.

Twinmom - Yep. I'm suprised too. I hope I can keep this up.

HH - Heh. Thanx. :)

Crunchie - awwwh shux. and wow. I've always been afraid of all animals and critters (ie: sheltered life - mom said no pets). so I've always been weary of them all my life. but eeep. Tarantulas and spiders. And they don't bite you at all?!?! *disbelief*

Week 4 Challenge: Less Salt! (Cumulative)

Day Twenty-Four:
Feeling slightly better today. Water was about 2.7 liters. Calorie intake about 1300 with 15% overall fat and only 5% from saturated fat. WOOT! Breakfast was cereal and milk with 2 slices of smoked fat free turkey breast. My crunchy corn bran ran out. Tomorrow I'll be opening a new box of cereal... Cheerios Multigrain. Hope it tastes alright. I've never had it before. Lunch was rice with spicy szechaun eggplant. Finally the LAST of it. Dinner was a salad topped with 2.5 oz of grilled salmon and some homemade fries sans salt. No exercise today but I did get off the bus early again. Not just one stop early. Not two stops. But THREE. Then afterwards, my brother got free tickets for an event at work. And the entire family attended Rogers' Chinese Lantern Festival at Ontario Place. It was pretty beautiful. Ontario Place is a park that's only open during the summer months. This year they have these gorgeous lanterns that light up after sunset. It was really spectacular. In anycase, we walked around alot. The only bad thing was I got some mini-egg waffles. It's a Chinese dessert. It's sorta like a waffle but it's lighter in consistency. There's no syrup. It's just the batter. And instead of a waffle shape, you get sorta these lil eggs attached together like eggs. I ate some... AFTER 9pm. D'oh. And I still plan to go to bed around midnight. D'oh. Ah well... You can't win them all. Speaking of which, Fitday says my sodium for the day is 2300mg. But that can't be right. Everything I had today was almost unsalted. So I don't understand how that can be right. Ah well... I'll try harder with less salt tomorrow. And dancing! Which I didn't get to do yesterday OR today. :(

Hi small c! he he he you know on account of your fabulous loss! Just peeking in to see how things are going. I love your overall comittment to your weight loss. I can only hope some of that postiveness rubs off on me. keep doing what you are doing!

Hey C, you're doing FANTASTIC! I'm really proud of you. Discipline always pays off eventually. Now, if I could only figure out where I left my discipline I'd be set. Last week (leading up to the big 6 pound loss) did you really feel like you had sailed along? Did you feel virtuous and wonderful? I haven't had a success like that in a long time (they get less frequent eventually...alas.) and I wonder if you even knew how good you were being. Anyway, you've done really well, and will continue to do so. Congratulations & have a great week!

Hi small c

LOL! I like that. We're going to have to start calling her lower case c!!!!!!

You're doing good, but after what you produced Monday for the mid challenge weigh in I'm a little skeered of you!!!! The sisterhood may have to bow down to you this coming Monday!!!

You keep rocking though!!! Doing great!

jenn - lol. "small c". I'm not there yet. hopefully one day though. :) Well, I try. I can only hope I can keep it up.

missprincess - hmm. Well... Actually, last week I did cheat once or twice. Like the fries with gravy. :( But overall, I felt pretty good about the choices I made. I was moving more. Eating less. And all the planning I did was in action so it was good. And I met alot of my goals. Did I feel virtuous? Did I sail along? Not really. On both accounts. I struggled and I felt bad when I didn't meet all my daily goals. It was a constant struggle but at the end of the day I felt proud of most of my accomplishments.

scarlett - lol. like I said to Jenn. Not yet. C is still for chubby. I dunno. My body is finnicky. I have a feeling I might not show any loss this week after the amazing 6 pound lost. Plus my body is always stuck around the 3s. 303. 293, 283, 273. Now that I'm around the 263 mark again, I'm a lil anxious that it'll hesitate for a week or two again. What's with those threes?!?

Week 4 Challenge: Less Salt! (Cumulative)

Day Twenty-Five:
Damn. Missed the 2000mg of salt today by 100 mg. Dang it!! Ah well. :( Today's calorie count was 1450 calories or so (15% overall fat and 4% saturated). Multigrain cheerios (which isn't bad... but I don't love it. when I'm done, i'll try another brand) with milk & a piece of light laughing cow cheese. Lunch was home oven-baked fries with no salt just 2 packets of ketchup. I had a chef salad topped with about 2 oz of salmon steak. Oh. And a banana. Dinner was spaghetti with tomato sauce and ground turkey and just a SMALL sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Had 2.5L of water plus a chinese herbal type tea but I put some Twin Sugar in it instead of the regular rock sugar. Oh! And snack was a Kraft fat free pudding. No exercise for me today. :( Boo. I didn't get to do it yesterday cause of the festival and today I didn't have time. But tomorrow I'll make sure I get at least 2 hours of dancing done!! p'-'q

Tomorrow is my last day at the government program. I dunno if the program has helped me decide what I want to do with my life... But it helped give me focus and a goal. I woke up everyday at 7:15 and I went to bed everyday around midnight. It gave me a schedule and I liked that. Instead of the unemployed me going to bed whenever and waking up whenever. Since alot of us in the program has become good acquaintances, we're exchanging numbers and stuff. We're also having a small "potluck" party tomorrow. Nothing big. Just a lil something. I don't plan to eat much although it was my idea and I am sorta planning the event. Still though, I think it'll be fun as it's our last day as a group. Now let's pray that I don't overeat.

that's a really tough challenge, I'm having a devil of a time with it myself.. and that's without adding any additional salt to anything... I wish you lots of luck with it... :)

twinmom - ow!! hey. i think you're getting a lil too whack-happy here. and the fries was LAST week! ow. *rubs head*

scarlett - i thought that only applies to people dying... like celebrities. celebrities dies in 3s?

mal - thanks mal. i'm a salt fiend. between chocolate and chips, I'll always choose the chips. well... i guess no longer huh? ;) gotta start choosing the carrot sticks.

Week 4 Challenge: Less Salt! (Cumulative)

Day Twenty-Six:
Okay, today was horrible. *puts on hard helmet to prepare for another twinny stick beating* :(

I totally could not resist at the potluck party. And I overate. :( So including my usual breakfast, I had about 2400 calories today (28% overall fat, 7% saturated). This includes a few chips, some slivers of cake, ALOT of rice and noodles, some Timbits, 2 dumplings, 2 egg rolls and other stuff. Drank 3L of water. Sodium is WAY over. Estimated at around 4100mg! HOLY!! :( :( To amend this though, I walked from my program to my house. Didn't make it all the way though. My feet was aching a lil more than half way there. But I did walk 5.1km in about 95 minutes (I'm a slow walker). So that's about 3.25km/hr. I didn't eat dinner cause I was still full. Anyways, I'm exhausted. I got blisters on my feet now. Will dance more tomorrow. *collapses in bed*

We all slip up sometimes but I know that you'll make it up. I also know that Twinmom will not be so forgiving so brace yourself for the Twinny Stick! *hands C a pillow*
