awwwh. good luck on your exams kinyo! and thanx guys. it's tough. I'm eating AMAZING slow cause I'm chewing everything like mad so swallowing ain't that painful. LOL... Now I know why doctors and them all tell us to eat slower... IT DOES trick your stomach.

Y'know I've been eating foods with alot less salt, flavourings and whatnot now. And I've been eating lots of raw veggies without dip and such. I used to LOVE my veggies with blue cheese dip cause I always thought the stuff was rather bland without it. but lately... i dunno. since i've been eating alot of raw veggies lately... it's rather... well, good. it tastes fresh. and although it's not a strong taste in my mouth. there are subtle flavours i never really noticed before cause it was always drenched in other flavours. it's weird. am I even making sense? heh.

anyways, this sunday is my best friend's birthday. we're gonna go out for sushi buffet. i'm gonna try to be at my utmost best behaviour!! (plus I'll try not to cough on anyone's food :D)

Make sure you drink plenty of water before going to get the fullness feeling. :)

welp, thought I'd post something cause it's been a week I've updated... I must admit I don't update this journal as often as I should. I guess it's cause I don't use it to journal for my food or exercising... I use fitday for that. I really use this journal as a support. To get things off my chest regarding food, exercising, my diabetes, pills and whatnot.

After reading MissJellyBelly's post on colon cleansing I got thinking maybe I need to do a colon cleansing. At first I believed EVERYTHING the page wrote but then the critical thinking in me kicked in... I'm fairly umm... "regular." I go once or twice a day. But I could use more fiber I must admit. So instead of a colon cleansing I bought some metamucil. It's pretty gross I must admit. If I do use buy more after using it, I plan to get the pill form instead of the powder.

I also bought some BodyGlide. It's like this sorta lubricant to protect your skin from chafing. In my case, the dreaded chub rub. Yknow when your thighs rub together and it gets sticky and hot and starts burning. Well, in another forum I frequent for "fat fashion," the ladies there suggested it. I figure why not. I want to wear a skirt this summer! :)

As for me, I'm gonna be hitting the gym this weekend with my best friend. :) Woot.

I totally understand where you are comming from when it comes to support. I have supportive friends but they tend to sabotage me of course not intentionally. My mom tries but then invites us for dinner and makes dessert. My whole family by the way is thin and cannot possibly understand my plight. My husband is a husky fellow but really only needs to lose about 30-40lbs. He is a late night snacker and after I told him I needed support brought out the cookies and milk and sat beside me on the couch. He didn't even realize what he did. After a little talking to (he he ) he now is aware of his eating habits and has started to change with me. Support from your partner is really key.

My friend has a chubby chaser for a husband and he really made her journey difficult until they finally had it out one night. She really struggled.

About Sushi...Don't get me started on that. I am addicted to California rolls and Gyoza. Ugg.

and jenn... yeah, my mom drives me nuts. like I'd try to watch what i eat. portion control. and at the end, I'd be full but my mom would nag me and say "That's all you're eating?!?" Or she'd make lil remarks about how flushed I'm looking. I am NOT flushed. My cheeks simply isn't as red as it used to be. I used to look like freakin Mrs. Clause with rosey cheeks. It might have been a milder form of rosacea or something. In any case, my face isn't as red or as blotchy looking and she says I'm flushed!! Gah! I'm at least thankful that my best friend is now starting to be more supportive before. And she's not gawffing and rolling her eyes and sneaking butter into our dishes when she cooks.

In other news, I went shopping yesterday. I needed to refill my pills and get more lancets. Total medication and lancets costed me $140. Ouch. I feel SOO poor now. I hate being diabetic. Not even getting into future health issues but just the damage it's doing to my wallet is unbelievable. I can't wait to lose all this weight so I can stop taking the medecine. GAH! p'-'q While I was at the grocery store, I also picked up some healthier groceries. General things. But I also got some Tostitos! Mmm! They were on sale. So much healthier than regular chips. And I'm totally hooked to the lime tostitos plus guacamole. I also bought veggie burgers!!

I tried my first veggie burger for lunch even. It wasn’t bad actually. It’s not beefy... but it definitely is a good mock of one. It wasn’t as bad as I expected to be. Being Chinese, I always thought the idea of fake meat was kinda ridiculous. Just cook lean meats and eat them. Or eat tofu or soy or bean curd as is… Not disguised under the pretense of meat. Those are fabulous. So I always kinda ignored them. But yesterday I was grocery shopping and saw a package of 2 patties on sale. Figured why not… My lunches are getting kinda bland lately and repetitive. I wanted to spice things up a bit. So I bought one package. It wasn’t really that bad. I don’t know why people dislike veggie burgers. They don’t taste bad. It still seems kinda ridiculous to me though to pay extra for fake meat. ^____^;;

I'm gonna try to be really good til end of May to make up for all the eating these last two weeks. My best friend's birthday and then Mother's Day. Both times, Sushi Buffet! Gah! p'-'q

I'm with ya on the veggie burgers- I have some veggie sausage patties, actually pretty good as well, but they ARE expensive, holy hunnies! Something to try in the future is the Boca Chilli- tastes just like flippin hamburger, except the whole bowl is only 150 cals :D amazing..lol

I tried a veggie burger for the first time last year and I was so surprised how good they are! I think I bought the Money's brand and with tomato and mustard on it I was pleasantly surprised!

I love it when you do WOOT, makes me giggle.

So I'm all packed up for the gym now. I don't usually go swimming but my best friend wants to go. Eeep. I have a phobia of water. PLUS... I look horrible in a bathing suit. Wish me luck that the swimming pool is getting cleaned. ;)
 
Okay, I went to the gym yesterday with my best friend. We worked out. I decided to add an extra 5-10 pounds of weights (depending on the muscle group being worked on) than what I normally did. Cause I noticed the last time I went to the gym I wasn't feeling the burn as much anymore...

Anyways...

Now... I can't move my body. Hell, I can't even feel any part of my body. I woke up all sore and aching. With a leg cramp... From BOTH legs. The fact I made it from my bed to my computer chair (distance of 1.5 meters) is already a miracle. I can't bring my arms higher than my shoulder. Consequently, I can't go and change my clothes. I'm cold. I need to go change my clothes. And I'm hungry. But the idea of going downstairs to go get food seems too painful. Hell, holding my cup of water in my left hand hurts too. I gotta use both hands. Or even better, suck it with a straw. Ugh. ~____~;;

Sigh. Even my boobs hurt. Maybe I shouldn't have used the chest press at all... But I wanted to make my pecs stronger. Owie...
 
Sorry to hear that your body is hurtin :p but in a couple of days you'll be fine. just resst your body for now. but great job steppin up your workout. Have a good night or day :D Don't forget your WATER

I always find a really hot shower helps soon after I get out of the gym. Either that or I go swimming for a wee while, that always helps loosen me off.

Well done on getting back to the gym though!:)

Your Doing Awsome I Overdone It The Other Day And On My One Leg The Calf Of It I Had Like Wierd Lumps And They Were Sore And Now They Are A Big Bruise Pulled Something I Guess But Its Painful !!!
 
Crunchie - I did swim! Well... sorta. I sorta splashed around in the water more. I have a phobia of water so I don't really swim that well. I did go into the sauna which helped a bit... But still it killed the next day. :( Maybe I should have spent a longer time in the sauna to relax?

BizeB - Hello! Thanks for the visit. Heh. Yeah. I use this journal as my random posting of all things dieting and food and all that. I need to just sometimes get stuff off my chest yknow? When I'm feeling down or unmotivated and all that. :)

Redneckwoman - Awwwh. I hope your leg is feeling better now. Mine is starting to subside (though I have new injuries now... read bottom for more info :( )

Honeychild - hehehe. i knew you'd appreciate the extra umm... wooting? heh. yeah. the only problem now is to WALK to the bathroom to shower. ;) Ack. I'm aching everywhere!

Anyways, IF i THOUGHT i was sore on Sunday... I’m in super pain mode today. I woke up with the WORST back pain EVER. I dunno if it was cause I slept badly (meaning on my back and the weight of my tummy squished my back) or if my bed is getting old (which it probably is and plus I’m heavy so I need an extra firm mattress). In any case, I woke up with super duper back pain. I had to lie on the floor for awhile. Then ended up crawling in my parents bed to lie there for awhile too (they have a firmer newer bed) cause the floor was a bit too hard. I am SO immobile right now. I feel like a granny! I’m too young to have back pain! I’m only 24~! Gah. Stupid bed.
