Well, it's been awhile since I've written anything in here. I was off for a bit because of my knee. I started walking a little here and there, even tried Curves once - made it around twice before I gave in. I did two miles in 40 minutes last night. It felt good. It was warm out, with very high humidity so I was sweating like a cold glass on a hot day but it felt good. I'm still amazed that I'm liking exercise.
The food thing is coming along. I'm slowly switching over to a produce, whole grain and lean meat diet - basically eliminating the processed junk. My pie in the sky goal would be to eliminate white sugar and white flour. I'm trying my best to cut down on them. I'm to a point when I can tell I've eaten crap. Last weekend there was a little summer festival in the park behind my apartment. I went with a friend. We split cheese curds, I had a corndog, a small regular Coke and a small diet Coke. I felt like crap the rest of the weekend. My knees hurt big time. I haven't had pop in weeks. I take that back. I usually have one can of diet Sprite when I go to my parents house on Saturdays. I also had KFC for dinner one of the nights, I think Friday...yeah, we went to the fair on Thursday evening. God only knows what I ingested from that place. I used to love Kentucky Fried. Now, I can take it or leave it and after this weekend, I'll leave it. My last vice is coffee. We have an excellent coffee cart in the lobby of the hospital I work in. Highlander Grogg today, my favorite flavor. I am cutting back on the amount of sugar I put in. I can't stand the artificial stuff in hot coffee. I'm fine with it in other things, just not in my coffee. Going to have to wean myself down to black coffee.
Enough ramblings for now, time for some actual work!
