Been hiding away from my diary disappointed in my last week and a half :(

Last wednesday I was 244 for my 3rd week. I slipped a little during memorial weekend, and only exercised once in the last 11 days. I'm slowly getting back on track, but I certainly missed my goal by 4lbs...

I'll drop a line tonight on your diaries and make sure your still on track as well :)

Prakas, I understand the feeling. My scale told me I was a pound heavier today. I weigh Saturdays and Wednesdays but changing to Mon/Thurs next week.

Hang in there, it's not a race... loosing weight and getting fit sure seems like one hell of a marathon, though.

Ah, I weigh 1st thing every wednesday morning, I use that as my offical weight for the week :).

I've started using crystal light in my water to change it up a bit, makes it much easier to drink, and it even has some caffeine in it, which might speed up my metabolism...

I'm back to eating about 2,000 calories a day and walking every other day woohoo!

got some bad news at the park though....I use bug spray, but it hardly does any good and i get bit bad, and to make matters worse, i saw a 2ft snake in the middle of the trail, it was brown and orange. The trail is narrow so I waited about 5 minutes for the snake to move and it wouldn't budge, had to throw a couple rocks at it before it moved to the side, then i ran past it :p.

For the time being, I'm just walking at the beach early in the morning around 7am and get a good 30-45 minutes in. No bugs there :)

For some reason, when we go camping, I end up with tons of bug bits and everyone else has maybe two.

I'd be afraid of the snake, too. I might have turned back running the other way! Definitely good incentive to run!

The beach sounds more fun than the bug and snake filled trail. I'd like if there was something near me (that I could walk to from my house) that wasn't cement or blacktop to run/walk on.

I hate plain water, too. Mostly I put lemonade mix, crystal lite, too, in mine. I agree, makes it easier to drink!

your signature is so true :)

I've been doing fair with my exercises the last few days, not as much as i would like though. Trying to decrease my calories to about 1900-2000 a day which is hard. Last wednesday I weighed in still at 244, no improvement....I made another goal to be 238 by the end of June, will I suceed? I hope so :rotflmao:

Yeah, the bugs are awful and annoying. The beach is great, just have to get in and out before the tourists come. Personally, I would use a treadmil if I have the money and room to put it inside.

I know what you mean. When I wasn't eating healthy food, 2000 would have been no problem, but do you know how many banana's it takes to get from 1500/1600 to 2000? Five 8 in banana's according to the USDA. I can't eat 5 extra banana's expecially if I already had one in getting to my 1600!

I've tried treadmills and don't enjoy them much. But if they work for you, then that is a good thing. Finding a routine ya like enough to stick to is the second hardest part. The first hardest I think, is just starting.

Glad you stopped in and I'll see ya later! Keep away from those bugs and snakes!!

Thanks :). Thats alot of bananas, can't eat more then 3 a day, and thats even alot.

Didn't eat so well today for dinner, I had a small dinner, and then a big bowl of pasta a couple hours after. I think I have a food addiction when it comes to dinner, I just have a craving for "more" everytime I eat dinner. I've been able to keep it under control, or really limit intake during the day to let a few extra calories at for dinner.

Not looking forward to getting on the scale tomorrow morning after eating all that tonight....Maybe I'll run a marathon in my sleep :drooling:

It IS a lot of banana's. I can't eat more than one... just was wondering how many would I have to eat. Way too many.

It's about 10 where I'm at and that's when my cravings hit. I'm good at portions during the day and with meals, but if I were to get something out now, I'd eat till it was gone. Plus I'm tired so I have trouble with portion control when I'm tired.

Good luck on the marathon during sleep. If it works, tell me what the trick is!

hi prakas!!
Long time no read :D

bananas.... that reminded me of when i did I detox diet where you only eat fruits the first day, the second day you eat fruits and veggies ONLY, and the third day you only eat bananas and skim milk!!enough bananas for a whole month.. it wasnt so bad though

oh and good luck with the evil numbers on the scale! :D
but dont give them alot of importance, the important thing is that you feel good... and sometimes the scale will say something and your body another so dont worry too much, just the necessary :D
take care! and come back soon!!
have a nice day!:)

been finding it hard to come back and post:p.

For a late update, last wednesday was marked the 5th week, weighing in at 241 !!!! thats 3lbs less then the previous week. I guess the marathon work, lol. I can smell the 230s right around the bend!

haven't had bananas for awhile now, actually almost no fruit, i've been eating 3 meals a day, and 100 calorie snack packs in between. Its been working good, but I need to add more fruits/veggies in my diet.

Fruit isn't always fun. I need to work it in more, too, so I wont guilt trip you on any lack of fruit.

It's nice to see you check in even if it's not often.

And congrats on the three pounds! You'll be hitting those 230's soon, then those 220's! Keep it up!

well fruit is expensive, and goes bad fast too, though someone did mentioned frozen strawberries in another forum awhile back, I might take a look into that.

GREAT NEWS: TODAY MARKS 6 WEEKS OF DIETING, GOT ON THE SCALE AND AT 238!!! I REACHED MY GOAL FOR THIS MONTH WITH ABOUT 10 DAYS TO SPARE!

You would of thought I hit the jackpot, I was so happy that I was jumping up and down :p. I owe it to many supportive people on these boards.

Now this rain is making me mad, yesterday i didn't walk, was going to walk today but nooooooo, it had to thunderstorm. Will have to adapt and do a workout inside today.

*Goes to update signature for weight loss* :)

way to go for making your goal 10 whole days early - that's awesome!! what is your reward for doing that? I hope something really fun for yourself... :D

thanks! I went to blockbuster and watched the movie Norbit, and ate a serving of wheat thins as a snack ( They are delicious, and low in calories ).

Awesome on reaching your goal! With time to spare!! Extra bonus there :).
I do frozen strawberries and also frozen banana's (dont look at me like I'm crazy ;) ). My daughter calls them "banancicles". So, they're kid tested ;). She loves them. They're just hard to peel. I have to slice them open down the side for her with a sharp knife.

Check out the frozen fruit section next time you're at the store. They're often cheaper than fresh, too, and often times dont have the preservatives to prevent spoiling like fresh one's do because they're not sitting warm on a shelf. Flash frozen I think is the term for the un-preservativized one's. I get frozen blueberries, too.

frozen bananas? sounds crazy, but you might be on to something, sounds like it would work. Is it like an icepop when you eat it?

hmmm, well the last 3 days haven't been the best of my diet, only walked once and have been eating more junkfood then usual, but have accomdated it by reducing my calorie intake of other foods. Hope it won't hurt when I get on the scale when I wake up.

Also, both of my feet on the bottom have been itching me badly, and swell up around the ball behind my toes. Not sure whats going on with this, but it comes and goes for the last week or so.

Well anyway, thats where I stand, can't wait to see the scale tomorrow morning.

Got on the scale last wednesday ( 7 weeks !), weighed in at 236, 2 lbs lost, yay!!!

I've got frozen bananas in the freezer for about a day now, can't wait to try one. Never been so excited to eat a banana :D

Two pounds is great news! Especially since you posted that you're not really following your nutrition. Next time will be even better! I've got faith in you, you can do this!!

The frozen banana's are great :). Just hard to peel. You may need a sharp knife and don't cut yourself! I don't like them warm AT ALL. They must be cooled or frozen for me to eat them.
