Powerwalking???Is it worth it???

if I were to run 2 a week. What type of running would you reccomend me do. HIIT or just the normal 2 mile jog. I wnat to lose the fat, not my muscle. I know running will lose some muscle and HIIT will get rid of more fat, but what about a light jog. If I were to do a light jog, how would that affect my weight loss??

just curious.
Sometimes I just like to powerwalk or just plain walk for about 1 hour. How's that effective???

I agree with you doing the powerwalking. It's great cardio! I suggest not doing it everyday, since you may get burnt out... I used to do the same trail and the same speed of running day in and day out- DON'T GET IN A RUT. I would suggest that you powerwalk one day, try something different another, weights another day (I think you get the idea). But changing it up everyday, will make you look forward to your workout.

If you are looking to burn fat.. I would do something like HIIT at least one day out of the week and then you could run the other day. With high intensity training like "sprinting intervals" you are still burning calories hours after your workout. Add some strength training to your program too. A light job or power walk won't quite have the effect that a high intensity workout will have.

its the cals you burn during training that counts,so whichever burns the most cals is the one to choose,or whichever you enjoy.
