Hello everyone,
I had a baby girl
3 months ago and just joined gym. I am 26yrs old and 5'9.
Year and a half ago I was about 150lbs (was working out and a lot of it was muscles) and then I quit smoking and gained instantly 15lbs. Within 2 months of that I stayed pregnant and my highest pregnancy weight was 205lbs.
I had a very painful c-section and was not able to do much in first 8 weeks post pregnancy. Now, I am ready and my weight (175lbs) is totally scary. My long term goal is 140lbs.
I changed my nutrition, I am eating more vegetables, fruits, meats, whole wheat bread, crackers and cutting down on my worst enemy- sweets.
My body type is spoon type (lot of junk packed on my hips, thighs and behind) and I am wondering about my exercise routine.
How many times a week?
Do cardio in the morning- meaning burning more fat?
Do whole body exercises at once instead of spliting in 2 days?
I am just afraid of building muscled instead of losing weight and toning! I was told that doing cardio faster but longer and lifting less weight but more repeats will help me acheve my goals. Sorry if sounding totally confused.
I am not expecting miracle within a month but any advice would be great.
Any routine suggestions is greatly appreaciated. Thanks.
