with all do respect, I dont care which diet you choose, its all ABOUT THE ALMIGHTY calorie, and the law of energy balance. Some diet programs dont track calories; however, when you remove carbs, or lower carbs, remove fats, etc....all these manipulations----effect caloric equation. AND, IN THE END, THIS IS ALL THAT MATTERS THE MOST IN WEIGHT LOSS.
I think its better to track your calories eaten VERSUS what you need in a 24 hour day, and then backing off a healthy margin. In the caloric equation, it take approx. -3500 caloric deficit to lose one pound. For example, if your -500 caloric deficit per day for 7 days, you can lose approximated one pound of fat (sometimes a mixed ratio in tissue loss, if you understand what I am saying).
