please give me some serious advice

hey guys i just need some advice here. im 21 years old, 5'11 and i weigh 173 pounds with a 15% body fat. 3 years ago, i used to weigh 230 pounds and that is the most ive weighed before.

the problem is that my body shape is just so weird, my stomach looks flabby and my love handles is flabby as well, although every body part of mine looks okay. its like a pear-shape and it looks ridiculous. im so embarssed to take my shirt off.

i work hard at the gym 4 days a week. i lift weights for an hour and do cardio for 30 minutes. on my days off i do interval cardio. in terms of losing weight, i see my results well because i can now fit in my size 32 jeans, and my strength has increased a lot. i just dont see improvements on how my stomach looks! im stressing out about it

the supplements i take are animal cuts, whey protein and glutamine.

should i continue my routine at the gym? my brother recommended me to bulk up and then cut...but i read something on the internet saying that it is better start off with a 10% body fat before you bulk up and then cut. is this true? please hook me up with some advices

should i con

You probably not actually 15% bodyfat. Keep a food diary for 3-4 days and then analyse what you are actually eating. Make sure your carb, protien and fats are in balance.

I would split the resistance training and the cardio a bit so you can work maximally at each. With regards to weights - Look at what you are actually doing in the gym with regards to intensity and rest- Most people simply just dont work that hard.

It sounds like you are more interested in being lean than a bodybuilder- so I suggest doing alot of your resistence work in high intensity circuits for example pull ups straight into shoulder press straight into hanging leg raises straight into high row - rest for 2-3 min and repeat 3 times and do 2 or 3 circuits like that in a session. You should be dead on your feet by the end.

It also sounds like your just genetically prediposd to carry weight around your middle- Take an accurate measurement and monitor your waist line- it will be the last area you lose weight from but as long as you are conitinually losing just stay the course and you will get there

I got the opposite impression. I thought you wanted to have a awesome body - not just be lean. I'm a girl - a good back/chest/arms/shoulders go a long way. Girls like bigger guys anyway - and one with a muscles - even under a little fat is better than skinny muscles. I would reduce the cardio to 30 min 3 times a week and concentrate on lifting. Don't worry so much about your weight - worry about how good/cut your arms and shoulders look.

all these experts!

How could you go wrong Cardio burns fat, pump up the weights you use in the weight room, just 5-10 lbs and increase cardio to 45-hour...what cardio are you doing i would say run and do it faster.

Post your lifting program with sets and reps. Although you're not going to have a 6-pack with 15% body fat, that isn't a bad number. If you are wearing a 32" pant size, you can't be pear-shaped. It sounds like you're being a bit hard on yourself. Post pics of yourself.
