Plants vs Zombi-... err .. Junk food! My Diary!

Wooow, Sarah!

You put my own weight-loss efforts to shame - you look incredible! :hurray:

I'd say you're about ready to conquer an Ironman event!

Damn!

Really, you look so amazing. Just.. wow, I'm at a loss for words at the moment!

It always lifts my spirits to see my friends doing so well! It encourages me so much to continue to do my best and to try harder.

Thank you, Sarah (and everyone), for continuing to be an inspiration to myself and many others!

Sending you good, green, froggy vibes!

Give my best to Jani as well! He's a lucky, lucky man!

Aww, thank you guys!

Sounds bigheaded, but I'm pretty proud of myself too! The wedding was amazing, and for the first time ever I had the confidence to wear 'skimpy' bikinis! haha! Or, well, the ones that you tie up at the sides of your hips with what can only be described as string.. I have some awesome tanlines! :D

Ironically, while I was on the 'all inclusive, all you can eat buffet with free alcoholic drinks' etc, I didn't gain anything! Then Jani flew back to Sweden and I stayed in England for 2 extra weeks.. and gained back 3lbs! To be fair, I was REALLY bad. I had takeaway most nights (pizzas, indian food, kebabs, chinese food [crispy chilli beef, NOM!] etc), and then the nights I didn't, my dad was serving up huge portions of food, often with a ton of white rice. Plus I was drinking alcohol most days, had plenty of fluffy pastries and chocolate and munched my way through all sorts of bad things! I just figured, heck, whatever, I'm only here for 2 weeks so I may as well enjoy it! Pretty sure most of that gain was from the wine I was drinking most days! It was definitely good to see my friends!

I really need to get out of the habit of weighing myself daily, though. I'm in kind of a routine now where I jump on the scales every morning.. I would like to stop that, as I often do it without thinking. Isn't particularly healthy, I don't think. I also think I want to tone up.. I wanted to from the start, but slacked with exercise. So gonna try and see if I can do that without checking the scales constantly!

Phase 2, here we go!

hehehe, damn! 3lb is not bad, Sarah :)

I think I would've been up 30lb had I indulged like that :) Glad you had fun - that's the most important thing!

To quote Matt LeBlanc from Lost In Space (lol yeah.. although I enjoyed the action scenes!): "If there's no time for fun, Doc, then what are we saving the planet for?"

You gotta have fun! There's a time for 'Serious Sarah', then a time for 'Fun Sarah', and I'm glad you saw that and didn't feel bad afterward! You shouldn't! Good for ya! :)

I know I'd probably beat myself up a bit mentally, then do it physically on the treadmill after something like that - but that's just me. 'Serious Greg' usually always overshadows 'Fun Greg' (at least for now)! :)

I weigh myself daily as well. It's more of a way to determine just how much of certain things I should eat throughout the day. If the number barely budged from the previous morning, then no peanut butter with my cereal. If I'm down a bit, then maybe a spoon.

I've always done that, ever since I started. I figured knowledge is power - even if it comes from a dopey scale that, in my opinion, is wrong half the time anyway :p

Btw, it's midnight. I'm friggin' passed the point of exhausted.. and no, I'm not drinking tonight either. I feel too fatigued to even lift the bottle now anyway.. but reading about the yummies you partook in, oy. My stomach feels like it's about to jump out of my body and go find something to eat by itself, rather than wait for me to feed it! lol

AYou are looking really great in the pictures Sarah, I'm sure your parents were in shock when they saw you.

And like frogged said you have to have some fun every now and than, I'm sure those 3lbs were just water weight.

AI probably would of gained 3lbs just from sniffing all that good food..LOL! Only gaining 3lbs is awesome! :)

haha, thank you so much guys.. although it took me a LONG time to shift those 3lbs, and I'm still slacking quite hard if I'm honest with myself - but then, I'm going to work on toning rather than fat loss now. That's how I justify it to myself anyway! I know I'm roughly maintaining, but I'm only weighing myself every 3 days now, rather than constantly. I've been killing myself with squats and weights - this last week, my thighs were so sore that I could barely walk properly for 3 days! But I guess at least I know it's working!

Pre Holiday: 70-73kg, size UK 14-16
After Holiday!: 58-60kg, size UK 8-10

I've also invested in one of those 'slendertone' belts.. it hasn't arrived yet, but should next week. I've read a lot of reviews, and while I have mixed feelings about it, I -do- believe it can help me in building my abs a bit. Sure, I'll need to exercise on top of that, but the idea of laying in bed watching TV and having it make my abs continue to flex and work is very appealing, as I'm sure the manufacturers know! It is apparently purely for toning - no fat or inch loss should be expected, just tighter muscles.. which is what I'm after!

Will see if they work!

Wow! What a difference, looking good!!

I too am always skeptical about any kind of exercise gadget that doesn't require you to do anything, but I really hope that you see results with it! It doesn't hurt to give it shot and who knows, it could actually work!

AI've been thinking lately about starting to do squats and stuff. I've been focusing on the food/diet aspect of it so much, but I really need to start exercising more(or at all..haha), so I can tone up. Let us know how the belt thing works! And I'm gonna say it again..you look great!! :)

You look totally awesome!!!

Hehe the slendertone belts sound interesting, I wonder if that's like the muscle activation pads I had to learn how to use when I was doing beauty therapy (many years ago!) You had to put a pad with an electrode on the origin and insertion of a muscle/muscle group, then mirror it on the other side... Then switch it on. I hated it, it felt like being tickled with a feather when you turned it on, then when you turned it up it was like freaky as watching your muscles contract without you doing anything. And it felt horrible lol! You still get like muscle soreness the next day too like you did a full on workout!

Lovin' the recent pics, Sarah!!

You remind me of the T-X from Terminator 3 - you're just rocking it and you're headstrong like a machine with what you're going to accomplish in the near future!
smile.gif

So awesome. I can't really put into words how wonderful you've done and continue to do!

Makes me tempted to post pics as well, hehe

Keep up the fab work there, lady! :hurray:

:iagree: I definitely see T-X from T3!

You really look amazing and are a MASSIVE inspiration to me and I hope I can muster up the same amount of drive and determination to get to where you are, girl! You have done such an incredible job!

Thanks guys. :) Haven't updated since nothing has changed, but I know I should be supporting you guys regardless.. sorry for being shit. (My cat just promptly threw up, maybe he's making a point.) -.-

One thing HAS changed though - I got engaged last week! :) So now I definitely have a reason to stick to my goals until we get married.. however many years away that might be! I'm still in the 59-60 zone, and my body seems happy there - and so am I! I've been trying to tone up.. honestly. But my hatred of exercise in general is making that a little difficult! :D

Yay, welcome back!!!! I already posted it in my journal, but CONGRATS on your engagement!!!! How exciting for you!!!! Haha how did he propose?? I want details!

I'm glad you're happy where your body is right now, I think that's the aim more than being at a specific weight. As for exercise, I say just do it!! I couldn't live without it now, and I'm on and off crutches pretty much permanently at the moment... still train hard!! Getting PT while on holidays too so can mix it up a bit more when I get home. Lots of boxing and stuff, so fun!!

Hope you stick around a bit more!!

Congrats on the engagement!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's so exciting! I'd love to hear how he proposed as well!!! That's so awesome and I'm super happy for ya!
