planks

does anyone have tips on doing the plank/bridge?

i read alot to "brace your abs" what exactly is bracing your abs? do you flex them, suck them in or what? Also any tips on how to keep a straight line from head to heel??
 
brace them is flexing them as if you are about the take a punch in the stomach. Also, when you do planks, be sure to align your pelvic, don't let it fall into a posterior tilt, flex the glutes and bring it forward.
