Dictionary.com defines a pilgrimage as:
noun
1.a journey, esp. a long one, made to some sacred place as an act of religious devotion
I've discovered that that's what this journey of mine is. Superficially, my journey is about eating right and exercising. But in reality it is much more than that. My journey is about finding and receiving peace, joy, grace, mercy, forgiveness and unconditional LOVE from the only one who can give me those things. It is about allowing my Savior to be enough for me in any moment...for any decision I must make...for any struggle I encounter. This journey isn't about food and cardio...it's about Jesus. Jesus IS Love...and I want to be where He is.
So I welcome you to join me on this journey...fellowship is always good. Some will read this thread and roll their eyes...that's fine. Some will read this thread and be offended...I apologize in advance. Hopefully, some will read this and feel encouraged.
By the way...there is no shame in having failed to become healthier with previous attempts. Don't let Satan make you think that way. That's his best tool to keep you from trying again.
Have a blessed day and see ya around!
