Peyton's Diary

thanks fortyfour :D

so been really busy the past few days with work but stuck to my diet and exercise programme. Went to salsa class again last night was brillo, im really loving it. So yesterday was exactly one month since the start of lent and im so proud i havent had any crisps sweets choc etc cant believe ive lasted so long!! but the funny thing is i dont really miss them that much :)

Gonna head out walking for a few miles soon, stuck to my diet yesterday and managed to fit in half an hour at the gym, weigh in tommorrow i dunno why i dread it so much when ive been so good all week???

Personally, I wouldn't worry so much about the weight in and more worry about the changes you're making. Are these sustainable? Am I enjoying my food? Am I getting a balanced diet? Am I working within my goals (e.g. for me, my calorie count and my exercise aims)? If so, it should take care of itself- if not, you rethink what you're doing. They've got to be sustainable and enjoyable or else you won't be able to keep it up, and that's the important thing.

hey amy thanks for your post yeah im doing my best and really am enjoying it.

so the past few days ive stuck to the plan and all has been well feeling really good, just got in from salsa class was excellent as usual gonna try and look into doing a few new classes over the next few weeks der a great way of getting the exercise in. Booked a holiday with my boyfriend aswell for next month so gonna kick the exercise up a notch now. i have an appointment with my PT on monday so he should get me really geared up for it :)

That's what i've noticed that's why i find it easier to quit these things.

I envy you going to salsa. I am a hopeless dancer but I would love to be able to do this. Unfortunately, i don't really have the social life to warrant even learning it. I know this does sound like an excuse. Last year i think it was i got the opportunity to do it but decided that i didn't really care about it that much after all. Maybe I just think i'd like to do it. Oh well, i am glad you have found an enjoyable way to burn some calories. Dancing is such a great form of exercise. And of course its a lot more than just exercise.

hey forty four you really should give salsa a try if theres a class near you. I was kinda nervous before my first class cause ive never danced in my life but the instructer breaks everything down so easy anyone could do it! after half an hour salsa i sweat more than two hours in the gym its bloody brilliant!!!

hey everyone, sorry i havent posted in so long i had to send my computer away to get fixed, just got it back now, i've really been missing the forum!

so let me start by saying i got through the entire length of lent without having one piece of junk ive never been prouder in my life! i still havent had any since lent ended (thats a whopping 49 days on the healthy eating wagon lol) and i dont intend on having any either.

Been hitting the gym and going to salsa classes religiously, still loving it! going to my first zumba class tomorrow after work ill let you know how i get on and i have my wednesday weigh in tommorrow so fingers cross the scales move in the right direction :)

So went to zumba class today and ill be honest i didnt really enjoy it, it was far to technical for me! ah well i guess if you dont try these things you wont know. Been doing really well on the diet and exercise front all week, feeling great and full of energy. Really looking forward to going on holidays next week!
