Perfect foods for weight training

Just wonderin' what are some good meals to eat throughout the day that will not only give you energy for your workouts but actually help make your workouts more beneficial.....
 
You need to get ur carbs fats and protein. Just like a basic diet. I have seen to have a little protein snack before working out helping though. Reccomended use of some supplements is either before or during your workout.

Actually, pre-workout, carbs would be a little bit more beneficial because that's where you get your energy, the protein would be better afterwards, unless you do both, which is fine too. And the supplements are better after too because that's the prime time for absorption and utilization.
 
I'd suggest you have at least some type of carb 30 min prior to weight training. Then a whey protein/fast acting carb immediatly following your training session, to replenish muscle glycogen stores and aid in the repair/rebuild of new muscle tissue.
 
Ahhh, Ic. Why drink your supplements during training then? Wouldnt you need them during your workout too?

All you need during your workout is a lot of water. It stays in your body and in your system, it's not like you go puke right after you drink whatever it is, right? Sorry, that was a bad example....
 
Haha, but when you run out of energy wouldnt you need that drink or would that 30 min snack get you through the 1-2 hr workout?
