Hi All!! I'm so shamed.. I just spent the last 3 hours making a myspace page. It's pretty vacant right now, I don't even know what I'm going to do with the darn thing... lol. :p

It's cold, rainy and poopy here today. Oh the fun of winter! I've been 2 seconds away from falling asleep since I got up this morning. I haven't walked or done any yoga! I ate at the chinese buffet with my dad wandered through walmart for a bit and then plopped in front of the computer. How exciting! :D:D

I guess I should take a couple of seconds and try to catch up with everyone.

hey peq, dont worry i've got a myspace, facebook, and livejournal--but i spend the majority of my time here so that makes it a bit better...i think...
 
Well.. Mr. Giggles :heart:s myspace and wanted to include me in that so I figure, ehh.. what the heck, I got time!..lol. It was actaully kind of fun to put together. Now I just have to come up with something fantastic to write on there..

Im a programmer, and computer expert and still cant figure out how to use the f*cken thing! (well ok i only spent like 2 minutes, but surely its supposed to be somewhat intuative?)
 
I was on myspace once... got bored with it. Ended up getting alot of "Highschool drama" and I was like..okay..I'm done! HA... but when MTM&K was in Canada visiting family... it was another way for her and I to connect (other than phone, email and IMing)... it was nice! It has it's purposes... but I think it's dying out with it's extreme popularity.... You're doing great btw Pequin! Hope you're having a great Wednesday!
 
Good morning girlie! I'm not a fan of myspace, I find that the crowd is a bit too young for me, but to each his/her own. Some people enjoy it immensely.

I'm definitely too old for myspace - I just don't get it :D last i looked it waas a bunch of 15 year old girls trying toget laid and the middle aged men who wanted to help them out :D

you crazy kids have fun though :D

Amen to that! It must be the most poorly designed popular website out there.

I am very anti-myspace, but I volunteer with my youth group and all the kids have myspace pages so we check up on them occasionally. We found out a girl was pregnant by visiting her myspace and seeing a pregnancy ticker on there. Are you freaking joking me?!

I hate myspace too. For me its because of the annoying looking personal pages. Or the blasting embedded music, or ugly backgrounds that make it hard to read the font so I have to highlight it to read it. It's just chaos.

Anywayyyyy, lol. Amy you're doing so wonderful. Wow. Keep it up girly. :D

I think my space is growing on me. :eek:
No offense but I have a problem with blaming myspace for the internet pedophile thing. With a community that large there's bound to be a few crazies. And they can find kids anywhere - even here. :eek: It's all a matter of the parent taking personal responsibility for their child's online safety. I think of the internet as a subway: sometimes it's not pretty, it can be loud and obnoxious. It can be a scary, dangerous place and can take you places you wish you'd not seen BUT... sometimes it can take you to exciting places that you wouldn't have an opportunity to visit otherwise. You wouldn't let your kid run unchecked on a subway........

I could keep going but I think you get my point. ;):D

ANYWAY - had an early day. Went shopping with my mom before she went to work. She decided I needed a new coat. Yay! I love it - it's a black wool zip-up hoodie. Much dressier than the other. Plus she bought me a cute sweater. :D:D

I'm hungry. Trying very hard not to go raid the fridge since I already had my snack. Kashi protein bar & some orange juice. I guess I need to just go chug some water until I pop.. lol. ;)

*sigh* I've got to get my room picked up - NO I've not done it yet. No excuses just haven't done it. Giggles is coming up here Saturday so my dad can fix his headlight and I just can't abide him seeing my room in this shape. Nothing too gross.. no old, stained undies, just clutter. My studio/work area is my bedroom so you can imagine.

Oh! I forgot to post my totals yesterday didn't I! Ack. I did ok, the upper end of my range since we went to a Chinese buffet for lunch. I limited myself to 2 plates with one being soup and steamed rice, stuck with mostly seafood, (shrimp mmmmm!) and stayed away from anything fried... will except the spring roll. Then we did a big salad and steamed shrimp for supper. :D

I too hate when people automatically throw myspace into the Pedophile haven... It can happen anywhere where theres tons of people. Usenet, IRC, Aol Chat, Forums, etc... Matter of fact, our town is in an uproar right now because Dateline To Catch a Pred. just filmed in OUR TOWN...



It can happen anywhere! ANYWAY...Hope you have a GREAT visit with Giggles on Saturday! I for one LOVE that day, and it's in my Username so...it'll be a good day! ;)
 
and not everyone with an aol account is a half wit - but unfortunately most of the world has come across too many halfwits with AOL on the ass end of thier user name to dispell that belief... I find it amusing whenpeople use it on resumes or in a professional setting...

Perception isn't reality but it's pretty darn close...
