Pequin Weight Journal

G'morning Hun.
those digital scales are glitchy. mine will do the same thing. the more i weigh the more the numbers will go crazy. So mostly just take the first number and be happy, well maybe not happy lol. I could give you a great big explanation on why the scale is doing that but it's easier just to weigh once lol.......

Howdy Shug - you're right. And I usually do take the first number...
but my denial got the best of me today... lol.

Hey Pequin,
Ugh sorry about the half a lb, stupid scale. But it happens.
Just keep doing what you're doing and you're bound to see a change really soon. :)

Hey P, next time, girl. maybe its atmospheric pressure...ever think of that? LOL! The proof is in the pants girl, your doing great. you probably gained some muscles, you know, so when all the fat is gone you'll be ripped. Keep up the good work.

The proof is in the pants

LOL! I like that one!! :D:D

And thanks everyone. I been thinking about the past week and while the calorie range has been pretty much the same... I've had tons of sugar. So I'm thinking that sugar may be the enemy. Bleh.

Oh well... live & learn. :p
Wanna bite of my sushi? Mmm.. so good.

:D

Here's a good read from Debi's thread about this very subject.

http://weight-loss.fitness.com/weight-loss-diary/4018-day-life-m2m-112.html

It spills over into page 113 too. Save me a lot of typing if you care to read it.

Very very interesting read, thanks!

When you say sugars, you're refiring to carbs right? or directly sugar, like what's in fruit? The ratio makes sense, 20% morning 30% lunch 30% supper 20% snack or less. I was reading and thinking, "Oh my gosh! Of course!". I bought a book a while back that explained that in more detail with the balance of the protein and fat too. I think I'll drag it back out and reread that section. Would sugar effect moods too? I guess it would. Hmm.. maybe thats whats up with the weird mood swings too.

This diet stuff is so much more complicated than dropping the calories & exercising.

I don't know what I'd do without you Toots! :D

Fruit sugars known as Fructose is a cleaner sugar, it enters in a liquid state, faster absorption, cells pick it up easier and distribute it more efficently - no downtime for processing like sucrose - the sugarcane family - has to be processed by the body at a slower rate hence even the time for processing will turn sucrose into some carbs while waiting and it even gets worse if you don't use (burn) them.

A diabetic could handle 2 oranges a day spaced out without consequence better than the same amount of Hershey Bars.

At my all time heaviest, about 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with insulin resistance. They suggested a diet geared toward diabetics... so this is stuff I really should have been paying attention to much sooner than now.

I just took my measurements for the month. I like these numbers much better than the scale...lol.

This is compairing Oct. 20th & Today:

Waist: -2
Hips: -3
Neck: - .5
Thigh: -5.5
Arm: -1.5
Chest: -4.5
Bust: -1

-18 inches all together. Nice.

18 inches, wow! you know, sometimes you have to go by how much better you look and feel as opposed to what the scale says. You're doing great!
