Good healthy bread is difficult to find in my area (The wheat bread in my store is CRAP--has CRAP ingredients), so I settle for pita bread (whole wheat flour, yeast, and salt, YES!). And, pita is cheap to boot, about $1.00 per pack of 12 (or 24 halves).....lasts a long time and goes far, baby!
So the closest I get to a NPB and Jelly sandwhich is a NPB and jelly Pita pocket sandwhich. (and the jelly is as near as natural as one can get without added, "fricken" sugar ).
I confess freelly.......I LOVE NPB.....Its a major weakness.....BUH! But I control it
