I'm glad Montana isn't the only one with snow :) but I really want it to go away,lol.
Hear ya on the gs cookies- I had almost a whole piece of sizzlin apple pie at apple bees...:(

HH- I do remember your GS cookie problem! I think my kids may have cleaned them up for me yesterday so that's good for me!

Skyler- I honestly never buy them... I can't believe they still got into my house! LOL!

Sarah06- Hey girl thanks for stopping by! I'm doing okay today... yesterday was a total wash but I'm ready to work hard today. :)

BizeB- I think you are right! They are so expensive AND fattening yet we buy them anyway! There must be something in them!

SarahNoH- Samoas are the best!!!! If there are any left at my house, it's those, cuz the kids hate 'em. LOL!

SkinnyKate- Pringles are hard to resist, I agree! Of course any chip that's "off limits" is hard for me to resist! :rolleyes:

Jess393- What is the deal with Spring and snow? We have a huge winter storm watch here in Utah for the rest of the day.... Try explaining that to preschoolers when you've been telling them that Spring is here and they think that means sunshine and flowers! LOL!

NTL and HH- I'm doing well this morning. I feel motivated to do this. Thanks for checking in on me! :D

Okay, can't believe I have to type this but... today was crappy! I only got in 6000 steps and I was doing well on my diet until a little after lunch time... then it all went to sh**! It's like I know that the food is going to make me unhappy if I eat it but I eat it anyway and then I hate myself.... I feel like one of those "talkin' but not walkin'" people... how can I give all of you advise when I can't even follow it myself? Ugh.

Anyway, I'm going to start reading that book that Sara06 and NewLeaf and I bought. I'm hoping it will help me. I'm going to read one chapter tonight before bed.

I gotta get this together ladies! I'm gonna be not so cute on my wedding day and pictures last forever! What will it take to make that day more important than the food in front of me at the moment?
Feeling pretty bummed.... :(
 
ok paula, we gotta use some kind of thought process here..something to really get ya goin!

back in Jan I wrote all the reasons I wanted to lose weight, so sometimes I have to re-read it. and add more reasons as well..

maybe tell more people what you are doing..it may help make you feel accountable. it sure does me!

do i have to remind you of what i told you when i first saw your pics? its still true!

sometimes i have to convince myself that losing weight day after day after day is like a job...dont always like it, but gotta show up for it if i wanna get 'paid'...no workie, no money! dumb analogy but it works...

each day i get to put in the 'bank' is a day closer to losing more weight..isnt that the hardest part? making ourselves remember that its literally ounces a day we lose? and that some days we dont lose a thing...and so what...just like you always say, it progress!

anyways, i know you already know all this stuff, but just treat it like something you HAVE to do, like it or not, and before long youll just blossom into BEING it...the butterfly you KNOW you are going to be on your big day!
 
Hi, Paula! Don't be so hard on yourself. This stuff is not easy at all. Needing and craving food is one of our basic instincts and you're asking your body and your mind to go against it. Realize that sometimes it may or may not be possible, and if you cannot fight it, you may be able to "reason" with it.

Honestly, I fight the "urges" by giving in to them, but not really. I give in, but before I do, I make a "deal" with myself to have only certain amount of the "bad" food. And then I make sure I enjoy every byte of it, and when I'm done, the craving is gone.

Anyway, I just hope it helps any.

Dont worry about posting that you are having a rough patch. WE ALL HAVE THEM. (mine more frequently than others, but still!!). I'm going to email you...Hang in there girl. Today is a new day..... Cheer up!!!! Smile :D Yo uhave got a good man that wants to marry you for you and You have all of us who look up to you and resepect you... You are right, pictures last forever. But the first thing yopu should be thinking about when you see your wedding pictures, is how happy you were to marry the man you love.... How nervous you got when you were walking down that aile, how good it felt to have all your friends and family there to celebrate a new chapter in your life..... Then comes the look... You look so fantastic right now... You have a very toned body.
You will be fine and look so beautiful in your dress. You throw out that darn scale cuase you were not going to let it determine how you feel. So don't let one day determine the rest of the week.
Keep your head and stay POSITIVE!!! Have a good one

I'm just gettin sick and tired of lookin at that ticker thinkin' damn I did way more work than that. Plus if I ditch it for a month or so then I won't get discouraged. I think I'll grab my digital camera and do somethin nasty mwahahaha... we should start a new thread with only pictures of beaten up scales haha.
 
Paula.. Paula!!! My goodness woman, I can't leave you can I?! :) Ok, deep breaths. Really hun. Maybe you've been giving too much advice and not focusing on yourself enough! We will get you through this little dismal spell. One thing I'd love for you and myself to start doing is writing down, when we eat, our feelings at that moment or before eating for one week. Even writing down when you WANT to eat something and resist it. I just think we'll all find out so much about ourselves. I think I'll post mine in my food journal to share with everyone.. :) Its a step... Keep readin gthe book. I iwll post m feelings on the chapters I've read tonight too.

Cheer up hun... we will get you through this... if it was that easy, we'd all be thin!!!
