Thanks everyone! Well I maintained my 149 through the weekend so that's good! Moved and unpacked all day again... still have more stuff to get but that will have to be another day! Off to bed...

With all the packing, moving, and unpacking, your getting one hell of a workout in! Burn some extra calories AND be productive, thats the way to do it :)

Thanks Jess!

So today I've been thinking... I've lost 15 pounds over the past few months. I'm only 5'2" so you would think that would be an obvious loss... but not ONE person has said anything to me!

Now, I know that some people might think that telling someone they look like they've lost weight is like telling them they looked fat before but Im not dumb! I know I was overweight and I would appreciate someone noticing my effort! lol

Oh well, just had to get that off my chest. :leaving:

I think that a lot of people feel a sense of shyness about it. There is a young woman on my wife's softball team. Between last year and this she lost 40 pounds. A tremendous difference. She looks great, but I'm not going to say anything. We're friends, but I'm a co worker with her mother. I would feel weird talking about how I notice things like that. She hasn't mentioned anything about my weight loss, either. That's just fine. Like you said, I knew I was fat, now I know that I'm much less fat.

Oh, and we notice. :hurray:

...You are so right TROPS.....I do the exact same thing sometimes....cause I don't want to offend them, or maybe they didn't loose weight and I'm hallucinating...and they didn't even think they NEEDED to loose weight........OH MAN...there are a lot of sensitive issues in bringing that up....and with other people not one bit of an issue!!!

...HE'S RIGHT PAULA!!! WE NOTICE!!!!!!!!! ;) YOU GO GIRL!!!

Your kids will be happy and confident because YOU love them and are a constant in their life... they may have days where they're sad because "mommy's not around" but as long as they have you to talk them through it, they'll be fine. YOU are making memories! Before you know it, those kids will be grown and what your (soon to be) ex missed out on, nothing will ever replace... her loss... your kids are blessed to have you!

If I could give you ONE word of advice... don't say negative things about her to your children (not saying you are now). You don't have to make her seem like a pretty princess fairy who flew away to live in her flower kingdom when it comes to why she's not around, but don't make her out to be a bad person either... your kids will figure out what kind of person she is on their own, in their own time. You just keep doin' what you're doin'!

Great advise, which I am currently doing anyway, to not bad mouth her at all to the kids. I believe that they will learn about her poor choice of priorities...I just want her to realize how special her kids are, and how fulfilled you can be by being involved with their everyday activities. I think, as you said, they will be grown in a blink of an eye and it will be to late for her...I truly hope not. Again, thanks for your kind words.

Sometimes I feel bad for my ex too. I give him every opportunity to have a relationship with his kids and it rarely happens. But ya know, we can't make them want their children in their lives... they are missing out on one of God's most amazing gifts! Im just thankful I'M not missing out!
You sound like an amazing dad JZ! Good for you!

Just following in a long line of them...my dad is my hero, and that's why I want to be the example to my kids! I could not imagine not being with them, I cringe at the 8 hours every other saturday when "she" does have them. I guess I know that this time in their lives won't last forever...and as the song says...I don't want to miss a thing! Thanks for your complement and kind words. Joining this forum, and meeting/talking to the members has been extremely theraputic to my circumstance. I would have never expected such compation and support from "total strangers", but am humbled and pleased to have found both here. I do however, look forward to just talking about the ups and downs of our weight loss journey's though. LOL.

Yeah this forum is pretty awesome. I've tried a couple others and they just didn't have the support this one does... and dont worry, we'll gladly talk about your weight loss too lol... just trying to get to know ya... BUT if you dont want to talk about the other stuff anymore, just let us know. You seem to be doing just fine with moving on! :-D

No, just making light of a heavy situation. I appreciate the "talk" on this topic. It is good to see/hear that people move on and find ways to better themselves. As I said, it's been very therapudic. As for moving on...she made it real easy! I'm not hateful, or angry, just positive I do not want her as my spouse ever again. Also, it has been my pleasure to "get to know" you, as well as others here.

That's good that you don't hate her... cuz hate only hurts the "hater" in the long run. Hate in your heart will consume you. And if you don't feel any anger either... man you're doing amazing! Just like you're going to do amazing at this "weight loss thing!"

And I've enjoyed "getting to know you" too. I enjoy making friends with the guys on here... you all work so hard and get such great results... very motivating! Not fair lol but motivating! :-D

Thanks, I'm in a good place right now. I know exactly what I need to do for myself and am pursuing it. It's quite eye openning when you start to look inside to see how you got to a certain point in your life...and realize that you have the capabilities to change everything you do not like. Again, thanks for the support, and as you said, I look forward to working hard and getting the results that motivate you...even if it's not fair! LOL

LOL get it done JZ! I know you can!!

So.... I didn't even step on the scale today. I felt like a fat a** this morning when I woke up and I was afraid that if the scale wasn't under 150, I'd probably give up and eat anything and everything I'm craving today... so safer to assume that I'm still 149 lol...

I gotta get this 14 pounds off... saw my reflection today and I look like a damn marshmallow... gotta step up the cardio and clean up the diet... next week I can start weight training but this week my goal is 147... Considering tomorrow is already Wednesday, I better pray for a miracle. :leaving:

I don't know what my deal is... I just feel like a chunk today... I think I'm really carb sensative so I think I'm just kinda bloated all over... even my arms seem puffy lol.

I believe!! Miracles do happen:) Keep up the great work Paula. I'm sure when you hit the weights next week you'll feel better and sore! I'm certainly sore from switching it up this week. I'm trying to take it up a notch.
