Just got off the phone with my surgery consultant. My surgery is now OFFICIALLY set for August 8th. That is 6 weeks exactly from tomorrow. I know that if I don't lose any weight, my surgery would still be successful as far as sewing my ab muscles back together goes but... I ALSO know that it would be MORE successful if I'm at (or close to) my goal weight because any loose skin I might have would be able to be yanked super tight... if I'm not at my goal weight by the surgery, I lose the opportunity to have my skin pulled tight... I need a plan... no time left to waste... :leaving:

DOESN't COME too many TIMES!!!! I CAN't WAIT....I'm SO EXCITED for YOU!!! ;)

Well, I'm off to the grocery store. I need to get the house stocked up with healthy food.

Last night I went on a "date" with my husband. We went to dinner and then to a movie... I felt like sh** after eating all that food and greasy a** :lurk5:! BLAH! Today I'm still feeling the after effects... I really think I'm carb sensitive. You should have seen me last night... my belly grew to like 6 months pregnant instead of just 4 lol and my whole body looked puffy! That always happens when I eat foods with lots of starchy carbs in them.... :rolleyes:

OKAY! Ready to get on this "diet" full force! I figure I won't (realistically) reach my goal weight of 135 by the 8th so I'm shooting for 140. That's 3 pounds a week and puts me within 5 pounds of my ultimate goal of 135. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to get 2 cardio sessions in a day at least 5 days a week and I'm not going to stray from my diet or training until my surgery... YOU heard me say it folks, hold me accountable! ;)
Diet wise, I'm going back to the 6-week Body Makeover diet. That was working well for me. Eventually, I will go back to the diet I recently posted but for now, I want to get as much off as possible in time for my surgery.
I like my weight training program so I'm not going to change that.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday:
  • 30 minutes AM Cardio
  • Weights: Total Body
  • 30 minutes PM Cardio
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday:
  • 30 minutes AM Cardio
  • Glutes and Inner Thighs
  • 30 minutes PM Cardio (exluding Saturday)
Sunday: Something light to get points for the challenge... maybe pilates or yoga

I think I will take a pic today in my swimsuit. :puke:I'm not going to post it... yet. It's going to be my "before" before pic. Then I will take one pre-surgery and then post-surgery. That way I can see my changes during the next six weeks AND my changes after surgery. :) THEN I will post all three sets of pics. :) Do you know how many "before" pics I have taken in the past years? LOL THIS IS THE LAST ONE!!!! No more...

Me to! I vow to never get fat again after this is done, because I just can't take the pictures anymore! Bleh!
3lbs a week is gonna be hard, but if you push yourself to the edge during workouts, keep hydrated, and eat the right numbers, you can totally do it. We'll definately hold you accountable!

Thanks Jess! I know it's gonna be tough... BUT SO WORTH IT! :)

Got my groceries yesterday... worked out this morning... 6 weeks is gonna fly by so I gotta stay focused and work hard! Here I go....

LOL I think we just posted in each other's diaries at the same time ha ha.
I'm getting a tummy tuck. Not so much because of excess skin but because my ab muscles are torn from my two pregnancies so without surgery, my stomach will never be flat. :rolleyes:
 
20 POUNDS IN 6 WEEKS!! Here I go! :D

Okay here is my plan of attack, completely laid out...

GOAL: 3 pounds by next Friday (20 pounds by August 8)!

DIET

Adding one more protein shake before bed and a gallon of water a day!

WORKOUT
Total Body 3 days a week (Mon-Wed-Fri)


Glutes/Inner Thighs 2-3 times a week (Tues-Thurs-Sat)

CARDIO
30 minutes twice a day Monday through Friday; Once on Saturday

Also using a pedometer again. Going back over my old diary pages, I realized that when I was using one in the past, the weight was coming off easy. SO... no less than 10,000 steps a day.


Better give props... Diet from The Figure Book, Weight Training from Muscle & Fitness Hers July/Aug 2008, Step Equivalent chart from The Step Book.

Got my workout and cardio in early this morning. As of 4pm today, doing well on diet... Still need to drink another 1/2 gallon of water and get in my PM cardio. Have about 5000 steps counted. :)
Meal One: 2 HB eggs and oatmeal
Meal Two: 1/2 PB&J sandwich, banana
Meal Three: 1 1/2 artichoke heart, 25 cashews

thats one helluva plan! You got stones lady, cuz I don't know that I could do that lol. I think that out of any of us, you're probably the top choice when it comes to doing this plan. I'm here for ya- yell at me if ya need motivation :)

I work all day today so I packed my food... now I have no reason to mess up on food! YAY!

Steps for the weekend were as follows:
Friday 13477 (Went to the zoo so we got LOTS of walking in lol)
Saturday 7111
Sunday 8191

MJ, Jess and LeeLee.... We're going to kick some a** this week! PERFECT POINTS GIRLS!!!! :D

I should start using a pedometer- you always think you do a lot of walking till you see the numbers.
Annnndddd I hate to tell ya, but I already missed points :( I'm soo sorry! I'm trying to make perfect points every week, but sometimes I just can't get em all :(

I bet the zoo was hot as hell the other day :)
