Pain when squatting, or stepping up far

ok so friday i did my workout. i did squat for my lower body. and then bench press and pullups for upper body.
now saturday i woke up and trying to just squat with my own bodyweight to parallel or below i get this sharp pain right in the back of my leg at the lower part of the glute on my left leg where that big bone that is there right on the iner part of it.( sorry dont know the name of it). So i rested over the weekend and it was basically gone by monday morning. in the afternoon it didnt bother me so i worked out. i did some just below parallel squats with proper form. with a little wider then shoulders and did my regular squat routine. and later when trying to do lunges the pain shot up on me again so i stopped. it still hurts today but not as bad as yesterday as i can squat with my own bodyweight with moderate pain or when i step up to a higher distance. though sometimes it bothers me when walking, just feel it no pain, and if i put all my weight to that one side sometimes theres a slight pain. any ideas on what it is?
 
most likely from contraidictory exercise. Im not sure what your lower body work outs are actuallu like but its likely to be putting a lot of stress on your lower back and perhaps impinging on the nerve giving you that shooting pian. Give it some rest and if it continues to happen there are plenty of other exercises that can work your lower body.
 
my workout for squats ive been using is like a 4x5.
then other days i usually doing 4x5 on SLDL
the pain hurts whn i squat to parallel or below, the lunge movement, and stepups.
the pain is alot less as of tonight since the pain i had on monday afternoon.
ive done some research and thinking it maybe to be piriformis syndrome?
any help of knowledge for this would be appreciated.
 
I really think your best bet would be to have you or your parents make a visit to the sports medicine doctor (find one that also specializes in orthopaedic surgery). Insurance will cover it, and they will be able to give a good diagnosis and what to do to fix it.
