Pain in Chest while running

Hey guys,

I have been running for about 40 minutes every day @ Heart Rate of 160-170, burning roughly 500 calories. Recently, I have been experiencing some pain in the chest after about 20 minutes. It is quite painful, and I stop, and after 2-3 minutes of stopping, it's gone. I am wondering what it is, and is it something serious. Pain is usually in the lower right side of the chest from my view (i.e. Heart is on my left side).

Any suggestions will be helpful.

Thanks,

Rupinder.

to be safe, you should make an appt with your dr. to make sure it's nothing to worry about.

Yes, it wouldn't be happening for no reason.....how long has this been the case and it's only when you're running 40 mins and more?

It is probably minor, but have it checked out, preferably with an exercise stress test if your doc will prescribe it. You heart is in the center of your chest, not off to the left as commonly thought.

It sounds as though you might have one foot in the grave. Be smart and go get a physical. This is just common sense. You are looking for a reason not to go, but that is iresponsible.
