Our new lifestyle day 3

Today is day 3 of our new lifestyle. I woke up without a headache today. That felt great. I had to get up early today to take my daughter to school. So after I took her to school I went to the store to get some eggs, lemons, milk, and orange juice.

Breakfast-

Ham

2 eggs (cooked all the way through)

cottage cheese

orange juice

Lunch-

Berry salad

bottled water

Dinner-

Garlic spaghetti

3 garlic bread

20 oz water

I was going to go for a walk when I got home from work but it was sprinkling. Then it started raining after dinner so I couldn't go for a walk. It is going to rain tomorrow so no walk for me. Well maybe I can go for a walk tomorrow.

Again today I had to take the bacon out of the oven at work. I had to deal with 8 trays of bacon. When I would take the empty pan of bacon back to the sink I would see if there was a little piece of bacon left in the pan. It would be crumbs from the bacon that you couldn't put on a sandwich. I would eat those crumbs. Well today I looked in the pan like always and there was a piece of bacon in the pan. I wanted to eat that piece of bacon so bad. It smelt so good coming out of the oven. I took that pan and put it by the sink. I didn't eat the bacon. It felt so good to tell myself no I am not going to eat that bacon.

Lets see what tomorrow will bring.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thread.

Anice work. More will power than I have :)

I might suggest that you go easy on the garlic bread (although, that used to be one of my weaknesses before I found out I have a wheat allergy). There's enough carbs already in the spaghetti and there's nothing good in garlic bread (except taste).

AThat is true. We didn't have a lot of it. Sorry to hear that you have a allergy to wheat. That must suck. I did hear that if you cut out bread you can lose some weight. We eat a lot of bread in my house. I cut back on the bread but I didn't quit. We do eat a lot of pasta. We eat pasta 2 or 3 days a week. I know it isn't good for you but we love it. I do portion control when we do eat it.

ASometimes the best you can do is portion control. It's hard going from eating things you love, to cutting them out completely. You have to take small steps. Good on you for not eating that bacon. Some of the worst ways to gain weight is by snacking while you cook, because you sometimes don't even notice. Yes, bread can be bad for you if you eat too much. I think if you try eating whole wheat instead of white, it will help.

By the way, might I suggest making just one thread, and posting each day in it? That way you can keep track of older posts more easily, and others can read your old posts without having to look through the forum.

AI never thought about doing just one and posting it everyday. How would I do that? Would I just replay to the same one? I'm still new at this.

AYes, make one thread, name it something like "Our New Lifestyle" and just make a new post once a day. Look at some of the other journals for examples.
