Im new to the forum :bigear:

Im here to find like minded losers:

dedicated when others are not yet always certain to expect the same when they are discouraged

losers who are diligent, humorous, have discretion, whos aim is to be selfless, a lifelong-learner, transparent and responds to a call of duty.


I have a lot to learn from others, and others from me. Im realizing I need encouragement in one area of my life. Ive never needed it before and was use to growing strong without it, but in weightloss ive seen it help me and others.

Im not looking for quick-losers, as they lose faster than the natural way (I was one). I think it would be discouraging for those of us doing it naturally and when its all gained back the forum is abandoned.



Ive been on a low calorie diet for a few months now and have lost about 14lbs.
I want to start my TapouT today, but it would be nice to find others who are on the same journey. Any takers?
 
Hello! I commented on your other post as well! Your progress so far is great! And it sounds like we were on the same quick-fix diet that lead us back here!

I'm doing low calorie and LOTS of working out :) Good Luck!
 
Hey ladyDk, I saw your other message. It actually seems like we have similar goals. How tall are you?

I started @ 235
My lowest was 173 from my previous diet.
Today I am 190
My goal is between 150-160.

Currently, I do Insanity work-out every morning, work all day (20min walk @ lunch) and gym after work for 1-1.5 hours. It is A LOT but I am pretty dedicated to this. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of muscle on my previous diet.

I do have progress pics in my profile if you are a "friend"

I cant stop eating tacos!!!!

They are only 78cal ea so use to do 4, 4 tops.....but now its 4, 30min later another, an hr later another. Do you count anything other than cal? I use to do fat and salt with cal but was told I didnt need to at all.

I have a friends doing insanity.
Im 5.5 but use 5.4 when checking my bmi cuz some doctors say 5.4 and others 5.5,
too funny

I was losing weight well, now its been almost a mo long stall and im eating less than my cal for my weight....I dont get it. Plus I drink tons of water.

What diet did you lose muscle? My last diet was the htc, and it all immediately came back. I have to go do some schoolwork and beat myself up for yet another taco!
 
Haha that is funny about your height. I think I'm 5'9, sometimes I feel like I'm 5'11 and but the measuring tape says 5'8. Haha

Not sure what Htc is, I was doing HCG, sounds the same! I lost all my muscle, a total of about 50lbs and gained some back. Now that I'm actually working out and eating a healthy amount of good I've noticed how much muscle I really lost.

It's important to remember coming from VLCD is that you are not 'supposed' to lose weight that quickly and it's much much harder then just your diet, or just your exercise.

Did you make these tacos? 78 cals isn't bad, unless you eat 6 of them :) haha. I love tacos too! I don't make them anymore but I do love making taco salad at home... I suggest trying it! If you put all of the ingredients over a huge bed of lettuce or spinach you'll probably be full faster and not crave more later on.

I have been up for about 1.5 hours, did the insanity (totally sucked at it again), off to work til 6 then the gym! It's going to be a long few months!
 
Im witcha, some days Im 10 feet tall, but lately (completely conflicting with who I am), Iv been 3. & haha ya meant xD hcg....freaky, I noticed same thing, but had no clue that could be the explanation...

Yea dieting with slow results is something Im not use to. I JUST had 2 kids by csection and im not use to my eh metabolism (or whatever it is) slowing down by age. And Im really not use to having a stomach, especially one not responding to bellyworkouts either. Take advantage of every year in your 20s. Im wont be discouraged for long, Iv seen many many 50 year olds with more life and strength than I and younger....jess have to figure out how to get out of this yuckymuckmuck.

I get them from taco bell. At first I never touched anything fast food (except when on low carb ate cjs low carb burg) but the guy I see once a mo who got me back on dieting said I can eat anything within the calories limit not to worry about salt and fat but now im not so sure.

:{ I miss getting out of bed early, working out and swimming at the gym.....Iv lost me somewhere along the way
 
Awww LadyDK. At least you have addressed your problem and are trying to take steps to live a better lifestyle, like being in this forum and sharing your journey.

Congrats on your babies, I feel very fortunate with my age and that I haven't had any babies... I imagine it only makes it so much harder. And yes, I hear ya about the older fit people, I hope that I am as active and lively when I reach their age.

Of course if you are staying within you calorie limit you are doing good, but I think eliminating fast food from your diet altogether will be good for you. Plus, making the tacos at home will give you the peace of mind that all of the ingredients are REAL! Who knows what's really in that taco!

Like I said, you're on the right track! It doesn't take much to start a new routine, but it takes A LOT of dedication and willpower to stick with it and reach your goals!

I know HCG and I loved it, the results were so easy and quick. For me, it got me out of a rut, and I would do it again.. But I now know that it was not the best way to lose weight!

If you click on "settings" in the page headings it will show the comment that someone has made and the posting that they have made it on.

It sounds like someone has read one of your posts and approved of something that you wrote. Lots of people give out rep.

You can give out rep by clicking on the scales below the person's name on a posting. As you give out rep you get the messages in settings and the rep power at the right side of the heading lines increases and you get more green bars under those scales.

Im not as worried about cal (although, ur right ff is jess bad) nearly as much as I am about my exercise. I love to do it but its like taking that first plunge. Its hard making dinners everyone separate. Baby, bbg and daddy and then me.

What it this diary I keep hearing about? I mean it cant be what I think it is. You post everything you eat on a forum? I love the accountability part but its hard enough just using my paper journal esp making everything from scratch.

I loved hcg because of how fast but nothing to me is worth it all coming back then some. No bueno. Im doing the slow rout this time, so sick of drugs that dont work one way or another or just gaining it all back just as quick.....I just need to start my exercise routine and stick to it :[

they tend to be individual places to chat on our own general subjects... this thread is getting to look quite a lot like a diary thread actually.

The before and after and in between section that we are now in tends to be for when people post photos of themselves at different stages.

Logging food and exercise is a great idea to be sure that you are staying on track - and some people put that into their forum diary - but I think many more people do not - or only mention it in passing or when they have a particularly good or bad day.

Diaries are more about being a place to build relationships... to build the support network that will help you - particularly to stay on track as time passes.

This is true. The results were fast but they were fake. I still love the diet..I wouldn't be where I am today without it. But yeah exercise is key at this point :)

I dont get it, I love working out, ihave excellent motivational reasons....but I just cant get my rear in gear.
 
Ladydk, a little tough love here ~ DO IT! It sounds like you may not be fully committed to your goals!?!? Try to plan out your normal day and stick the the plan, including exercise!

Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance!

My reality check is every time I look at my "before" pictures of look at myself naked in the mirror.
 
maybe i should try that again. i dont remember if it worked. i know dedication more than most. it has nothing to do with that, im just at my ends of ends on the home front, school, marriage - not quitting any area but just beyond beyond burned out

im literately goin away this weekend to a hotel by my self....iv never done this but hubby says i need it too. i cant focus, i cant finish projects, i cant process....just cant....done. im take off these weights so i can run the race intended for my family and i
 
Ladydk ~ I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time. I envy you for doing so much at once, it sounds like you're a great lady! I hope you don't think I was calling you no dedicated, I was just trying to give you a little push in the right direction.

It definitely sounds like you have a lot on your plate! I hope that you can enjoy your weekend away and come back with a clear head and it helps bring you back to life to accomplish ALL of your goals.

Stay positive, what doesn't kill ya makes you stronger like Kelly says :)
 
so I did my workout yesterday and today.. haven't missed a day but it's only my 3rd day lol
I feel a lot better me both mentally and physically
